I'm planing on buying the Akitio Thunder2 for my Macbook Pro soon and I'm still unsure about the power supply. I know that many people use and recommend the Dell DA-2 but I don't know how would I connect it to the GPU (it's GTX 970 with one 8-pin connector) and the enclosure. I've seen some builds with crazy adapters and wires that work but I couldn't get any details on how-to. Alternatively I'm considering a regular PC PSU and using the paperclip trick as it looks way easier. Are there any downsides regarding using a regular PSU or is it gonna work as usual as any build with the Dell?
