  1. Depends if you like the Half-Life or Portal series more.
  2. Hey guys! I own a mechanical keyboard (Corsair K70 RGB) and I am collecting special (especially artisan) keycaps. I already found some sources (Massdrop, Etsy, JellyKey) but I was wondering if you knew some more.
  3. I'd say that those include zombies. Well okay, Bioshock Infinite doesn't. Great game btw, with all it's DLCs!
  4. Well in that case I'd say it depends how much it affects airflow for the other card.
  5. Well if you like Indie games you may want to have a look at those: Antichamber The Binding of Isaac (well, you could say there are zombies...) LIMBO INSIDE Jotun Trine & Trine 2 Other good games: Ori and the Blind Forest PAC-MAN 246 Half dead Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Worms ...
  6. I would not recommend having a defect part in your pc. Especially because it produces heat which can be hazardous, plus it wastes energy.
  7. Thank you, I will take a look at some more oc experiences with the family. Yeah, that could actually be the case because another calculator where you couldn't put in your overclock (I believe it was newegg) spit out a lower wattage.

  9. I thought the same about the PSU, but somehow a calculater got me to that high wattage. I guess it calculated the overclock wrong. Can you really overclock a 1700 to the same clock as the 1700X? I thought it would be limited due to a lower TDP.
  10. Finally back with another post! I pretty much finished with my school and with my thoughts about my new pc. This is my updated partslist: I chose "only" 16 GB of RAM, because the 32 GB sets on the QVL where not on sale yet. Aditionally that should be enough for now and because I only use two slots with that set I can still upgrade in the future. Luckily, virtualization on Ryzen should be getting easier, especially with this board. What I am kinda concerned about is the powersupply and the reviews on it claiming that it exploded on some people. On the other hand there are also bad reviews for the mobo but I think those were caused by user error. Also the Dark Power Pro 11 got pretty good reviews from professionals. Any thoughts about the partslist or something else? @paddy-stone
  11. Well okay then. I will see how it looks like in a couple weeks. Would be really nice if everyone with Ryzen (OC) experiences describe them in that post.
  12. I took a closer look at the QVL of the Crosshair VI Hero and found some odd things: The only two 32 GB kits at DDR4-3200 (why are there no 2*16GB kits) have the Part No. F4-3200C16Q-32GFX and F4-3200C16Q-32GFXR. I looked for them, did'nt find them. Checkt G.Skills website, they do not exist. In the DDR4-2666 section are a 8*8GB and a 8*16GB listed, but the board does only have 4 DIMM slots The list is really inconsistent with it's labeling and also contains a typo ("Supports one pair of modules inserted into eithor the gray slots or the black slots as one pair of Dual-channel memory configuration")
  13. Well, bequiet's Dark Power Pro is also in Tier 1 apparently, but I might go for an EVGA one then. I will see how availability looks like in like a month. (bequiet is a German brand, so that should not be a problem.) Yes, I'd like to overclock my CPU (that's why the 1700X is in my list), to come closer to its bigger brother, the 1800X. There is not a single 2x16 GB kit on the QVL of that board that is above 2400 MHz For which usecases do you actually need RAM speed? I'd guess for games, that's why I would like to have it fast, given the already premium pricepoint of the build.
  14. Absolutely! Thank you for that. Oh wow, that's pretty scary. I am using several bequiet PSUs in my household and I am quite happy with them so far... I don't really know a lot about EVGA PSUs and I don't know, how the different models differ but I found that one on pcpartpicker (in my country there are not a lot of them on there to buy). not available on pcpartpicker...found it on one of the site it should search... When I saw that cooler I just was like "really, you needed to put lights on that?" I use to programm a bit, also for Android, and with the 16 GB I currently have I already ran in some problems with emulating and stuff. It's like 100€ cheaper in the UK but idk if it would be worth it with shipping.
