  1. Adding to this, make sure you have a solid ground.
  2. So far I have a old Lenovo, with an i3 2120 and a 180w psu (lmao). At this point idk if it's even fully power the rx 460. I have another motherboard and CPU that isn't proprietary, but it's an older fm1 amd a8-3850 quadcore, not sure which is better overall. But that option would for sure power the card. https://www.cnet.com/products/amd-a8-3850/specs/
  3. Realistically, how much are you really willing to pay for a 2gb rx460 nowadays? I'm seeing them go for upwards of 100 on ebay, but is that really worth it? Fyi, trying to build a pc for a friend on a 150 dollat budget. Able to max out skyrim remastered. This is a system based inside of a low wattage Lenovo.
  4. is it really? He bought it because EVGA is a reputable brand, and it was priced low. What would be a better choice.
  5. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H33SFJU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'm looking through them now, pretty good prices!
  6. I'll definitely look into that He has a brand new EVGA 500w bronze. And about 120-150 dollar budget I'll def check the used market for one. Will the i5 pair well?
  7. If you like playing at 4k, the 3080 is a great upgrade.
  8. Need recommendations for brother. He is building his first pc. His bought a system from marketplace, a lenovo with an i5 3330 and a gtx 660. While playing apex legends he's getting 50 to 60 fps at 720p. His CPU is hitting 80 percent and his gpu is 100 percent. What would be the best upgrade for @ least 1080p 60 fps in apex? Would a 1060 6gb work with the i5?
  9. Will a Ryzen 5 1600 bottleneck the hell out the RTX 3080? Is it worth it to upgrade? What to?
  10. Hello, I recently bought my little brother a capture card (Not elgato) This device The card works perfectly and provides 1080p 60fps. Here's the issue. I am getting game video, audio and microphone input from mic plugged into PC (Blue Snowball). BUT I am not able to get ingame Comms. I've tried plugging the headset into the controller so that he can use the headset microphone ALONG side the computers Snowball; this cuts out the ingame audio, because it directs all of the game sound into the the headset. I am so lost with this. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. I will try this and get back to you! Thank you!
  12. I forgot to add that my fans kick up when this happens as well, but temps are fine. Ryzen 5 1600, gtx 1070 8gb founders. 8GB DDR4 2800 Boot times are like 3-4 times faster than my HHD. It started occurring in APEX 2nd day of release. I assume that it could just be the game itself, but I haven't found anyone else with this issue. And the fact that my Disk spikes to 100 at the same time... I just don't know.
  13. Hello all,I bought a cheaper 1TB to save money, but I think that may have been a mistake.. While playing Apex Legends, my screen will completely freeze up for about 3-4 seconds then continue normally. This happens 3+ times a match. I had my resource monitor open while this occurred and noticed that my disk usage spikes up to 100% at the same moment these freezes happen. ALSO My fans kick up while this freeze is happening, but temps are low on both CPU and GPU. Could this be my issue?
  14. Oh wow thanks for the information! I'm sure it will work for the time that I own it. I work a lot and only play a few hours a night. It should be a nice upgrade over my current GTX 770 FE 2GB
