  1. that will probably cause strife in the family.. just hard reset it.. but your mom will probably ask why the username and password are reset (leading to uncomfortable situations too)
  2. Hardly, i got into university when i was 15.
  3. Store my laptop in a coffee bean container > > >
  4. comes the troll post but i get where you're coming from haha..
  5. it just makes me sick, because everything is going towards that direction. Material wise it is probably good (eco friendly), since you don't have to buy multiple machines to do different tasks. But that would just mean I am stuck to one thing the whole time. Tablets are basically a computer and phone hybrid. And it does pretty much what your tv would do. Will there come a time when tablets replace phone and pc?
  6. when we refer to pure water... it means distilled water. and like i said in my edit (it is not completely free of ions). and don't be sarcastic - - (the entire thread has people referring to pure as distilled aka deionized).
  7. i was just trolling ya. And dropping it in water is totally irrelevant here, because we are talking about washing it. (On purpose). So it's not like you don't have time to make some preparations. (Teaches you caution and patience)
  8. Pure water is not very conductive. Chem 101. (it is still a poor conductor. it is not free of ions)
  9. i would say if there is a battery in there... remove it before washing lol? why would you remove it after washing????
  10. well tbh, the hacking part seems unfair. You don't know that microsoft is not having the same issues and not disclosing it. The Playstation network has been known for its strict security and also the aftermath (huge lawsuits), which is essentially honeypot to hackers. we'll see about the steam box (I'm anticipating it but I'm not sure how status-quo changing it will be).
  11. haha, this part of the post made me think, so basically he was arguing that Xbone was not any "less powerful".. it's more we built it with other factors in mind like watching dvds and stuff. Not pro gamer. Anyone with a sensible enough mind after hearing that should know gamers are no longer in their best interests. (Remember that NFL commercial?)
  12. I would do it. Curiosity kills the cat. And it makes for a neat little experimentation. (also teaches you to be patient and careful) edit: (here's a tip. you could, after washing, put it in a container of rice.. completely covering it. it helps to absorb any moisture, but I don't recommend eating the rice after that)
  13. leave it there for a month and in dry surroundings. also like mentioned by others, use pure water, you can buy distilled water. (reason: no electrolytes.)
  14. i wonder why so many people say things like short out the circuit. that only happens when you have something to conduct. the guy's not an idiot who would wash his graphic cards while there is a power source supplying it with electricity = =. (edit: unless it has it's own power source, you would likely damage the power source than the circuit. Then you would have to change the power source, for example an internal battery in mouse, etc.) (2nd edit: If you are going to wash it, I suggest buying distilled water (PURE water). Don't use tap water.)
