Monitor upgrade should be the last thing you do tbh, unless you upgrade everything at the same time, since with your current CPU but a better GPU you'll barely see any gains, and with a new CPU will get something extra from your GPU but not enough to justify a 144hz monitor.

AiO look cool but perform poorly if your CPU it's constantly pinned and the loop doesn't have time to dissipate the heat, they're better for situations where you CPU might have spikes of high temps, like in gaming, or general day to day usage.
In your case i'd go with a beefy air cooler, like mentioned earlier the Noctua NH-D15 or beQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4, and consider getting a better CPU while you can, if all you do is workbench then consider getting a 3950x or a base line Threadripper 3960x, but overall cost of the build will increase considerably.

I'd say go the motherboard + cpu route, but you'll also need a new kit of ram since your old socket mounts DDR3 and you can't use them on the new one

I got that motherboard, but i don't have 2 NVME drivers to test it, but i can tell you that the Instruction manual states that the bottom PCI-E slot will be disabled when 2 NVME drives are installed, so the top PCI slot for the GPU will not be affected.

I'm actually surprised it runs on your system at all, considering all the issues it has.

Are you in hurry? Because if you can wait go for the new AMD RX5500, it's going to replace the older RX580/590 at that price point, giving you an entry point into the much newer Navi architecture, and that's definitely going to be future proof, since the new console generations are going to be using it.

If you search online there's a few videos or articles about that CPU in 2019 and seems to still hold well in 1080p gaming, so yes upgrading your graphics card will definitely help you, you just won't get the most out of it. That being said, the RTX2060 is a nice card, but if for the same price you can get a 1080TI i'd say go for this one instead, since in a lot of titles you'll see bigger gains, especially if you'll ever upgrade your monitor to 1440p, where your CPU will matter less in the equation and your GPU will do a lot more work.

I think Linus should lower a notch the cringe factor in his videos, it's making them hard to watch, or at least, limit the fake cringe moments to more memey videos, while keeping reviews a little more serious.

To be fair, I think this video is really weaksauce. From a tech channel I would assume they can actually build their recommended systems and benchmark them.
