  1. I'm wanting to go air on my rig cause I'm losing my free time to take care of my custom loop, I have a delidded 7820x I wanted to go with the dark rock pro 4 or the noctua nh-d15 Would these coolers be ok? What kind of overclock headroom do you think is possible? Anyone running this setup by chance? How is it temps wise?
  2. im certain its either rad space or airflow when i take off my side panels temps drop a good 5c, but i tubes feel hot making me think im not getting enough cooling with my rads im trying to move cases into the 011 dynamic and add a radiator to help....... hopefully
  3. After re sealing and re applying the LM my package temps have dropped by about 5° and my cores are closer together however at 4.6ghz @1.2v with a -4 avx offset on both 512 and normal I'm still getting temp warnings of 87° and still spiking into the 90s on an aids 64 test with fpu enables
  4. I'l try super glue Thursday that could be it I used some silicone to reseal things seem fine on idle temps but I should be safe and try again The cpu isn' hitting tjmax but I do think temps should be better especially with the LM
  5. I doubt it's the loop order though my 6700k was in the same loop but with an an supremacy evo
  6. So I just sold my 6700k for a strix x299E and 7820x with monoblock, I didn't have a cooler on hand to test the before temps but I delidded my cpu following the guide on the gamers nexus youtube and all seems to work fine no spill over or anything(thank you for the nail polish tip btw) but I am worried about my temps i'm overclocking to 4.6ghz at a 1.2 Vcore -4 AVX and -6 AVX512 and on aida 64 stress test with fpu stress I'm seeing temps at around 85 on the package and spikes up to 90/91these numbers seem high to me but I don't know how they would've been before hand to compare however online i see a ton of 7820x's sitting at 65-75 at 4.7/4.8 with a Vcore of 1.235/1.25 (if i try those settings i hit 100)is there something wrong, should i delid again and hope maybe i didn't put enough LM or too much silicon on my reseal? or are these temps the expected temps? i cant find much online about the 7820x so id figure id ask heremore details:noctua nh1 thermal pastei7 7820x 4.6ghz 1.20 vcore -4 avx -6 avx512 3.0 meshasus strix X299E gaming board with EK nickle monoblockgigabyte aorus 1080ti WB extremelian li pcO11 casecustom loop with 2 EK Pe 360mm radiators, 6 corsair ml fans 3 on each rad, top rad is pull bottom rad is push,1 d5 pump, loop order goes res/pump/gpu/cpu/top rad/bottom rad/ resmy ambient temp might be high since I live in south Texas but I have an ac next to the pc set to 70 at all timestemps were collected using HWinfo/aida64/realtemp (cam would give me notifications that my cpu was hitting 87)TLDR: 7820x package temps hitting 85 with spikes to 90+ on aida64 after delid should i reapply LM or check my seal or is this normal, using custom loop 720mm rad space
  7. So I recently went from 2 seperate loops for the gpu and gpu into a new case the lian li pc o11 and the only way to cleanly design the loop was go res pump gpu cpu rad rad but everyone keeps telling me it shouldn't be an issue however my 6700k continuously hits 80+ on the package and I've never had this with dual 360 rads I'e re seated the block I've cleaned it and re applied paste and nothing is working any help would be greatly appreciated or is this normal I7 6700k 4.7 ghz at 1.35volts I've also done 4.6 at 1.33volts and auto volts with no change or worse results
  8. I plan on selling my system with an i7 6700k in the coming months and want to start on my next build ove already been acquiring things like case psu ect things that arnt very dependant on hardware and I'm stuck on the cpu should I go with coffee lake? Or wait to see if ice lake or cannon lake release soon? Or maybe I should go x299? I really want 8 cores but if prefer Intel due to their ipc and better gaming performance however will zen2 release soon and would it be more viable?
  9. Building a new pc soon plan on gaming and content creation like twitch and YouTube using 2 1080tis on water which would y'all recommend I7 7820x/7800x r7 1800x thread ripper 1900x or wait for coffee lake I will be water cooling the cpu
  10. 4500$ with about 800-1000 of it set to wateecooling
  11. I'd prefer Intel honestly nothing against AMD
  12. I've wanted an x99 system for a while now but never had the money for one, that is until now but now x299 is out. should I go with x299 even though ive heard it has heating issues and other optimization problems at the moment or stick with x99 because its a more mature chipset I plan on using 2 1080tis, 64g of ram and water cooling for the cpu and gpu i plan on gaming, streaming, and video editing/rendering
  13. In looking for a case with good rad options and pump mounting options in trying to get something I can water cool 2 1080tis in, id prefer tempered glass but acrylic is fine, I was thinking the primo but I absolutely hate visible drive cages ect. I want something more open and with a basement any case suggestions?
  14. Alright I'll try that thanks for the help!
