  1. They called me a madman... Back pics below: Laptop is a Clevo PB51EF-G (i7 8750H, RTX 2070) / XMG PRO 15 (Early 2019). Screens are AUO B156HAN08.0 running at 144hz This is battery powered (lasts about 3hrs) but I'm using a brick at home so I don't waste power. Uses just under 24W under load. Full details about how I went about building it can be found here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/diy-project-valerie-triple-screen-laptop-ongoing.831841/
  2. Oi ya muppet! Social distancing! *tosses you mask* As for the actual game, never played the original. Might pick up this remaster if it turns out to be true.
  3. Intel, why is there 6 different i5's? Granted, AMD has 4 different SKUs for their R5 but still, why 6??? And this doesn't even take into account the potential T CPUs as well! At least with AMD, they do vary quite differently (one is 4 cores iGPU SMT, 6 cores no iGPU no SMG, 6 cores no iGPU has SMT) except for thr X parts but with yours, it's just clock speed differences! Facking hell this is overdone. Just have a variant with and without an iGPU and allow overclocking on all SKUs. You don't need more than 2 SKUs, maybe 3 for a low power option.
  4. Actually no, looking at the size and weight on the website, this isn't that much bigger and heavier than my current laptop: the XMG PRO 15 (Clevo PB51EF-G). Battery life still goes down the toilet though And that is more than comfortable to carry around (I walk 30 mins to my lectures with this in a messenger-style bag, with the same 230W brick, it is not bad at all) Size from their site: PRO 15: 359 x 257.8 X 29.9 mm (W x D x H) @ 2.5KG APEX 15: 361 x 258 x 32.5 mm (W x D x H) @ 2.6KG
  5. Same here, I see no reason to upgrade my 8750H and RTX 2070 unless there's a massive performance boost to be had. A 4000 series Ryzen + RTX 2080 SUPER would be a nice upgrade though but unlikely. Let's just hope more laptop makers put these and future Ryzen CPUs in high end laptops. The lack of Thunderbolt 3 should be remedied with USB4 (even then, I only use my Thunderbolt port as a video out port) Next laptop is looking to be 4000 or 5000 series Ryzen + RTX 3000
  6. Wow I thought 10th gen naming scheme was already bad and they made it worse!
  7. If this is a sign to come, looks like my next laptop will (hopefully) be AMD Zen 3 + high end RTX 3000 (if such a combo exists or AMD gets their head out of their asses for mobile GPUs)
  8. I just hope it has hand tracking. Currently rocking a Lenovo Explorer so being able to upgrade to those controllers would be nice!
  9. I believe there was a reddit post from someone at AMD saying that this is 100% true and that there won't be anymore blower style cards as reference designs. EDIT: Here's link to the reddit post:
  10. It's 20 now??? But... Im 20 I feel old now, I remember playing Ratchet & Clank series when I was younger. Played the 2nd game over 99 times (there was a counter for how many times you killed the final boss and went back to the start), got all the skill points and upgrades all the weapons to their Ultra variants (I still remember how fast the RYNO II could kill the final boss ) And Star Wars Battlefront II... With the jet trooper and the burst laser... Oh those were the good times. Just pure fun games.
  11. It's strange. The last time I had an AMD GPU was the RX 480 and that thing ran really smoothly with very few crashes. Compared to my last 2 GPUs (laptops with GTX 1070 and RTX 2070), these crash ALOT more than the 480.
  12. Hi there! I found someone selling a 4K 120Hz panel for a 15.6" laptop and was curious if I could upgrade my laptop display to it. http://m.panelook.com/modelcompare.php?ids=34288,42501 The 1080p one is my current display and the 4K one is the new one. My laptop is the Clevo PB51EF-G / XMG PRO 15 (Early 2019) that has the i7 8750H and RTX 2070.
