Massive changes to the Steam Store after the waifu holocaust
TenThousand replied to matrix07012's topic in Tech News
Good. I was worried they'd start going after bethesda games since people love doing adult mods for it. -
Intel's 28 Core 5Ghz CPU is misleading at best
TenThousand replied to RadiatingLight's topic in Tech News
I think the reason people are going bananas over it is because Intel is on it. If some random overclocker (even derbauer) got it to 5ghz on ln2, no one would've cared. It's not impossible that intel themselves paid people to write articles about it to begin with, just to steal a bit of amd's thunder. Even knowing that it will backlash. They'll take some momentary flak, but as long as people aren't talking about amd, then that's all that matters. It's the same way big companies break laws. The fine is nothing compared to what they gain. -
There would be no reason for amd to just sue nvidia. They would have to wait for proof first. Ie, brands never selling amd stuff under the same gaming brand. Just because they're letting Kyle do all the work first, doesn't mean nvidia is in the clear.

It's like if someone started ranting about how water can drown and suffocate people if you hold their head in it long enough and then said you shouldn't drink it because of that.

I'd rather just get the 43" one with the 4 way split screen.

I bet a bunch of people were pissed over Linus shouting over the auctioneer.

Tax is pretty retarded. You earn money? Give us some of that. You spend money? We still want some of that. This is why cryptocurrency suddenly got huge. It promised anonimity. Of course, the reality isn't exactly like that (with exchange sites buckling like newegg did) and that's why it went down a bit. But that's how you can tell that no one likes the system.

1 Year Airflow Experiment - The Stunning Conclusion
TenThousand replied to jakkuh_t's topic in LTT Releases
Should've just thrown away that entire experiment out. The cases aren't even in the proper configuration and unbalanced. Out: All open holes had fans blowing out. In: Most of the intake has no filter, completely defeating the purpose. Balanced: There is a huge gaping hole in the top for dust to just rain in regardless of airflow. -
Why would you even want to? TR4 boards aren't wired for 128 pcie lanes. All you'll have is a gimped processor that can't really be overclocked.

Idk what all the hubbub is all about. It's already back up to 7500. These "crashes" literally happens every couple of months. And each time, everyone starts rambling on about how crypto is this and that. It's like each time it happens, everyone's brains suddenly resets for some reason and they pretend this has never happened before.

AMD rumoured to be looking at replacing GCN entirely by 2021
TenThousand replied to Master Disaster's topic in Tech News
They did hire ex-nvidia employees. I wouldn't be surprised if the new architecture is based on nvidia's. Completely nullifying any gimpwork advantage nvidia has, and possibly adding freesync support along with gsync. -
Title is just being sensationalist. All it does is prevent bitcoin from being traded in the stock market. The coins still retain their validity and whatever their current value is in the open market.

Etherium tops $1,000 spiking GPU prices again
TenThousand replied to SpeedDemonAdam88's topic in Tech News
That's only because no one was buying their expensive alternative. Nvidia could care less otherwise. Not the same situation at all. ASIC is specifically tuned hardware for bitcoin. There's no such thing for alt coins. Alt coins are actually made to be resistant to asic. AMD knows this and that's why they're openly releasing mining drivers.
