  1. Wanted to say that problem indeed was my PSU, got a new one and everything is working fine.
  2. Hey guys! I wanted to bring you an update on the issue. I actually managed to recreate the crash, by having furmark and prime95 heavy PSU load on, my computer crashes almost instantly. So it has become near obvious that the problem is my PSU, although I will try and measure it with an ammter just to see what exactly happens with it.
  3. I doubt it's my temps, while running prime95 my cores max at 58 C. Motherboard max temps are: TZ00 28 C TZ01 30 C TMPIN0 43 C TMPIN2 49 C
  4. It does restart itself automatically, is there anyway of monitoring what's going on in my PSU? I just find it hard to believe that it would be the cause of the problem, since it's fairly new and has been working fine for over a year.
  5. Hey guys, I've been having issues with my PC randomly crashing while playing WoW. The crash is similar to just pulling the plug on my computer, it just instantly shuts down. I feel like this started happening as I installed MSI Afterburner and overclocked my GPU a bit, at first it ran fine for weeks, while all of a sudden I started getting random shut downs. I figured maybe something was wrong with my overclock so I decided to stress test it more, however nothing happened even though I had it running the whole night. When I check event viewer it seems to always be the same Event ID 41 Kernel-Power System, google has a ton of random issues causing this and even more ways to fix it, having tried some and still not being able to fix it I come to you. I feel like I don't get crashes as often if I don't have an overclock on, but today when I tried it without any overclock (aside from a custom fan curve), it crashed a few times during gaming. Does anybody have any ideas what might actually be causing this? Also, I've tried to keep an eye on my temperatures while playing, and I don't really reach any high degrees, only on my GPU if I don't have the custom curve on. Here are some of my specs: PSU: Corsair 750W Mob: Gigabyte Z97P-D3 CPU: i7 4790k GPU: KFA2 GTX 980 RAM: Corsair 16 GB OS: Win 10

  7. I seem to have the exact same problem, this started occurring when I overclocked my GPU slightly. First there was nothing, but after somewhat long sessions of gaming my computer would just randomly turn itself off and on again, no blue screen, no "GPU stopped working", no nothing. After looking at event viewer I found that critical event ID 41 Task (63), after searching google I found people having fixed this issue through various ways (perhaps they occur from different reasons as well?). It seem'd that my temps were fine, and I didn't feel like my OC was that extreme that it should cause system shutdowns like that. I tried stress testing my OC'd GPU with no increased power limit in Valley but didn't get any crashes. I want to try and replicate this crash so I can more easily figure out how to fix it. How are you progressing with this issue?
  8. Hey everybody, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the KFA2 GTX 1080 ex oc? It's currently among the cheapest 1080's in my region, I've previously had a KFA2 GTX 980 reference model and it has been working fine for me so far. This 1080 though does have a custom cooler and I'm wondering if it's any good? It doesn't really have any factory overclocking to it but I figured I could just overclock it myself, possibly to the 2000 MHz mark. Please share your thoughts on the card or it's competitors, thanks.
  9. It all makes a lot more sense now, thanks a lot for the replies.
  10. I've been considering overclocking it but I just don't feel like it's necessary yet? But I suppose I don't know what I'm missing either..
  11. I think my ambient temp is like 25C in my room, I was just concerned since I hear people telling me their CPUs run at about 15-20C? Lower than their ambient temperatures... No I was generally concerned, didn't mean to come off as braggy.
  12. Hey guys, I was wondering is everything on my system OK? I have a i7 4790k and it seems to run pretty hot? At Idle I get about 30+C which I feel like is bonkers, if I play something WoW my temps on the cores go to about 50-60 C. I don't use a stock cooler, instead I have a Scythe Mugen 4, which also extends over two of my RAM slots? Any ideas what might be causing such high temperatures on my CPU? Should I reapply thermal paste or something? I have not overclocked my CPU.
  13. My GPU usage was bigger than normal I think when plugged in to the motherboard, atleast my temps were at 45-55C when playing something like WoW.
  14. If I plug it into my motherboard, shouldn't it be running on the integrated GPU? Or is the integrated GPU (Intel GD 4600) just so garbage it can't handle full HD videos?
  15. Greetings, So I have an issue with my dual monitor setup, where my main screen is a 144hz 27" 1440p G-Sync display, and my secondary monitor is a 60hz 27" 1080p display (for GPU I have a GTX 980). Whenever I play games on my main screen and I try to for example watch a video on the other monitor, my game becomes extremely laggy, my fps drops really low. I noticed that by having both my monitors plugged in to the GPU I would fix this problem, however whenever I play highly demanding games I feel like having both monitors plugged in to my GPU takes away from its performance. Is there a way for me to reach stable solution so that I wouldn't have to mess with my cables in order to get the most comfortable experience? TLDR; 60hz monitor plugged in to the motherboard and 144hz plugged in to the GPU, with video playing on 60hz monitor and a game on 144hz monitor = huge FPS drop.
