  1. Any access point that you would recommend to go with that?
  2. Im current looking for a new router to upgrade to. I have been using a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 (R7000) for about 5 years which has some issues (sometimes disconnects for about a minute, when playing R6S on the same network as my housemate in a squad, one of us gets kicked unless I use my schools VPN). I'm looking at the ASUS RT-AC3200 and TP-Link AC4000 (A20). Are either of these recommended or are there any strong alternatives that anyone would recommend?
  3. Damn, the switch girl was product placement? Meanwhile I was just here thinking LTT was trying to give the viewers eye candy in scrapward wars S7. Anyways, I thought it was hilarious and a great product placement. People are complaining about a sponsor in essentially free content, and it wasn't a big deal, I enjoyed it in there.
  4. For some games, I've found an issue just to be overall background tasks, if you go into task manager, find the app, right click, and set priority to"high" it does fix some issues. Could be an easy way to fix it if that is the issue.
  5. I haven't tried Firefox as I don't personally use it, but I have tried internet explorer and it works perfectly at the same time that chrome does not
  6. So I've been having a problem with chrome on my Surface Book. I primarily use chrome, but whenever I use chrome on startup or for the first time, it loads endlessly and then fails to connect or says that there is no network connection and every time I have to close chrome and open it again twice to work, but if I use Edge at the same time, edge loads perfectly and is browsing while chrome is still trying to load. Does anyone else have this issue? And yes, I have attempted reinstalling chrome and have it updated.
  7. I'm looking for an affordably priced mechanical keyboard, with preferably brown switches, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with the quality of outemu switches, or if it would be better to go with a rubber done keyboard like a Corsair K55. (I don't care for the rgb for a keyboard but backlighting is nice if anyone has a keyboard recommendation)
  8. So my problem for a while now is that im getting terrible speeds on pc after I did some upgrades and that involved a motherboard changed, gpu, and wifi card change since the old card was OEM. On the old card i would easily hit 70mbps on the 5 ghz band and my phone hits over 50 on the 2.4 in the same room. The wifi card is a TP Link Archer T6E, I've installed and reinstalled drivers changed pcie slots, checked the antennas, and everything but cant fix the speeds. Also, in windows it says the wifi protocol is N on the 5Ghz band while in the TP Link software is says it is an AC network as it is the 5Ghz band.
  9. Lga 775 is really old, that is going to bottleneck the hell out of that gpu sadly to say and he will still feel really sluggish... A 220w PSU should work since the 1030 uses under 75 watts but obviously something higher is nicer for silence and efficiency. Also make sure that the CPU works with DDR2, my old PC had an E5800 (lga 775) and had DDR3.. it should work and I'm assuming you have an extremely limited budget, just make sure about ram compatibility
  10. I'd also like to add in that when I use an old Linksys AE2500 I'm getting similar or faster speeds with it as a B/g/n USB WIFI dongle and my uploads on my pcie card are perfect at 10mbps... But my down is stuck at 1.5-2, when the USB is doing 12 on 2.4, am I missing something here.
  11. The antennas are all the way screwed in, and the TP-LINK software says 80% (Excellent) on the 2.4 and 40% (fair) on the 5
  12. So I upgraded my PC from a pre built essentially only keeping the ram and CPU. I had to get a wireless card to replace the integrated wifi that the pre built board had, and I would easily hit 70mb/s on that. First I got an ASUS PCE-AC56, which was DOA and I replaced with a TP-LINK Archer T6E. I have a stable connection but I'm only getting 1-3mbps on my 5Ghz band and slower on the 2.4. my wifi is 100/10 and my phone gets 60+ just on the 2.4 in the same room and the card got similar speeds initially but for a few weeks it's tanked. I've reinstalled drivers and tried reseating the card. Any suggestions? (And no, Ethernet isn't an option since)
  13. Personally don't have any experience with them, but Cooler Master does make some decent fans. http://www.outletpc.com/po4559-r4-sps-20ak-gp-slim-80mm-case-fan.html this has all the specs about the cooler master fan even down to the decibels
  14. That is true, but waiting a few weeks for an enjoyable experience is much better than feeling like you wasted money on a sub optimal gaming experience. A 460 is going to give you a solid 60fps in AAA titles at medium-high settings while those cards will struggle to maintain that - and the 460 is quiet, so my advice would still be to wait to be able to get something you will enjoy and not want to upgrade for as long (and the 460 has twice as much VRAM as the other cards)
