  1. I do have a new SSD I was about to install for gaming anyways, but C is also my windows/boot drive so I am not sure if I can just...move it so to speak
  2. I was trying to partition my Drive, and during partitioning I had a bluescreen. Once my PC rebootet, everything looks fine but my Drive now says (XGB free out of 921 GB) instead of 931 GB. In Disk Management it still shows the Partition to be 931GB in size and there are no additional partitions. On top whenever try to partition the drive, it fails stating 'wrong parameters'. How do I get my 10gb back?
  3. Budget (including currency): 800 € Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Office Applications, Sims 3 and Assassins Creed (up to Blackflag is a must, everything newer would be nice) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): No new peripherals, GTX 970 from my old PC. My sisters old Pc (that she bought used) died, and it already has been really struggling with Blackflag anyways so it is probably time for a new pc. She will mostly use it for Homeoffice purposes but also to play Sims 3, and Assassins Creed. She would like to try out the "newer" titles (after Blackflag), but has no need for them to run at high or ultra settings. I still have my old GPU (MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G) laying around so I was considering using that if possible to save her the cost of the GPU and either save money or spend more on the other components, so she can upgrade the GPU in 2-3 years separately if needed. The case has to fit in a space that is 36,5cm (1,12ft) wide, 47,5cm (1,56ft) high and 60cm (1,97ft) deep.
  4. Welp, I think that was enlightening. Might aswell buy the parts myself and put it together.
  5. I kinda feared that. I can imagine they just looked what they have in stock and put that together?
  6. @Oswin @jaslion your input was extremely helpful last time, I hope you do not mind me pinging you again.
  7. So I recently got the help of you guys to put together a new pc. Then I send the list of parts: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor €170.00 @ Amazon Deutschland CPU Cooler Noctua NH-U12S 55 CFM CPU Cooler €59.30 Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard €117.80 Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory €77.99 Storage Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive €118.90 Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive €52.80 Video Card PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 8 GB RED DRAGON Video Card €349.00 Case Fractal Design Define 7 ATX Mid Tower Case €141.19 Power Supply Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply €79.99 @ Corsair DE Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €1166.97 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-06-18 15:07 CEST+0200 to a local PC-Shop asking if they would be able to match the prices and put it together for me (because I am paranoid to fuck it up). They responded recommending to change some parts. In part because the case had a port the motherboard didn't have(USB C) and Nvidia > AMD. This is their list: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor €199.99 CPU Cooler Alpenföhn Brocken 3 60.62 CFM CPU Cooler €59.99 Motherboard Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard €249.99 Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory €84.99 Storage Intel 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive €139.99 Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive €74.90 Video Card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB OC Video Card €299.90 Case Fractal Design Define 7 ATX Mid Tower Case €119.99 Power Supply SeaSonic CORE GM 500 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply €99.99 Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total €1329.73 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-06-18 15:11 CEST+0200 Because I really don't know a lot about the difference in parts, I thought maybe you'd have some input for me.
  8. looks really good! Exact same width as my current one, so that would definitly fit
  9. yeah mostly gaming. of course some yt videos and an excel file but mostly gaming. I currently am gaming at 60hz and haven't had any problems, so any more than that would be something new for me, which I won't mind but also won't miss.
  10. tbh FullHD was good enough for me until now, I never really gave it much thought. I just realised that I actually might not be able to go bigger than 24' because I don't have any more space on my desk. With my second monitor set up my main monitor with it's 56cm width nearly uses up all available space so I can not really go much bigger or I would have to give up on my second monitor (unless I can somehow mount it I guess).
  11. thanks mate I appreciate it! are there any monitors that come to your mind?
  12. I just want it as plain as possible, preferably grey/black. Ideally the case is so unremarkable that you forget about it. It will be under my desk so I don't need a window anyways, and because it is in my living room I don't really mind if I can hear the pc work from time to time, especially because I wear headphones
  13. thank you very much! with "save the 500 euros to get you everything else " you mean monitor and CPU cooler or should I go with the stock cooler? thank you very much for the storage setup, that looks way better. just curious because I really don't know a lot about this stuff, what made you choose that Video Card over the one I had (not that I cared for that modell) and same question regarding the power supply - if you don't mind the time
  14. Budget (including currency): 1500€ - less would be nicer. Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for gaming like League, Civilisation 6, Deus Ex, Cyberpunk, Subnautica, Assassins Creed, Skyrim while watching movies and/or social media on a second monitor. Possibly Photo-editing in the future (I got a Mavic 2 zoom and a ton of RAW-format pictures). Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am upgrading because my current pc is from 2012 (Alienware Aurora), and slowly falling apart. I did buy a new SSD and GTX 970 sometime around 2016, so I think I am ready to move on and hopefully use the new system for another 8 years or so. I will need a new monitor as my current second one is failing slowly, so New Monitor -> Main Monitor, Main Monitor -> Second Monitor, Second Monitor -> Trash, other then that I do not need any more peripherals and am looking to buy as soon as possible. For my new monitor I am currently eying either the AOC Gaming 24G2U (144Hz) or the HP Omen 25 - either way I would prefer to not spend more then 250€ on a monitor. I did watch Linus "Early 2020" Guide, so you will recognise some parts. I have the habit of keeping a lot of different files (DnD) on my Pc which is why I opted for a 2TB SSD as I am currently using around 700GB on my current setup (SSD + HDD) and would only go for a 2TB SSD for convenience of having one single disk. But if it would be way cheaper to go 200-500 SSD + 1TB HDD I am open to doing that again. 15. Whenever I recently started my PC it would inevitably suddenly freeze. Sometimes sound would continue playing for a second or two, sometimes it would stutter, sometimes no sound... I generated/looked into the Reliabilityreport (One for each week as well as several days separate) and noticed, that this first started occuring 3 weeks ago, although there was one hardware error 4 weeks ago.Since then it happens like 3 or 4 times when I start my Pc in the evening. After a while it stops and I can play for hours without a problem but the next day it will be back. It always seems to be a "MoAppCrash" by "Microsoft.SkypeApp". According to my computer Skype is not installed. Installing and uninstallig it did not helped. Logging into the administrator account did not helped. Nothing does and this is annoying. The reports are in german sadly but I can translate if anyone would be so kind to look into them. Can anyone offer a solution? 03.10.XML 04.10.XML 05.10.XML 06.10.XML 20.10.XML 21.10.XML 22.10.XML 23.10.XML 29.09.XML Week1.XML Week2.XML Week4.XML Week5.XML
  16. Welp, while this is sad news, I am thankful for your answers because it was bugging me as I could not find a logical explanation. Thanks a lot !
  17. oh I see..so if I got this right: You say that it might be that her tablet is able to use the 3G Band which her German sim uses as well as 700MhZ 4G which her Australian sim uses. Her phone only is able to use 3g which her german but not Australian can provide. Right?
  18. It is not. She could use it just fine in Melbourne before travelling to the farm. Thanks for your help guys btw!
  19. She is using an Honor 8 and using AldiMobile which uses the Telstra Network. Her German Sim uses AldiTalk which also uses Telstra
  20. So my fiancee is in Austraila on a WHV right now and on a farm. She has a very strange problem which I could not find a solution to.... She has 2 sim cards with her: Her German one (A) and an Australian one (B). One is in her Phone (1) and the other in her Tablet (2). As she was complaining about no coverage on her phone but on her tablet. I told her to change the sim cards expecting her phone simply not being able to get any coverage And now here is the weird part: A in 1 = Coverage A in 2 = Coverage B in 1 = NO Coverage B in 2 = Coverage Is there anything she can do to get coverage on her mobile phone using her australian simcard? Because we would really love to call each other on our phones. Any tests she can run? So far: She restarted both devices multiple time She changed sim cards several times She tried to manually/automatically select a provider/network on her phone but manually she can not chose anything and on "automatically" it changes nothing.
  21. youtube wont work for me today, but I put it on my list. ah I see...well then I'll wait...means I'll be able to buy a new graphic card with it then too I guess. Thanks
