  1. University student, needs the portability for lectures and moving between home and uni. I'm not stupid obviously a desktop is better
  2. My friend wants a gaming laptop, are there any better than this for the price range? http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/9S7-178131-602-MSI-GT72-2QE-(Dominator-Pro)-602UK_1697047.html?gclid=CjwKEAjw9uypBRD5pMDYtsKxvXcSJACcb9AYNTti_Na_bJJw9TO_eiTbZV1gxWzitS6cH3UY1Iop2xoCnxTw_wcB
  3. Prefer 1080p but 1440 is fine
  4. Any out there? Not concerned about sizes
  5. Not sure whether I'd rather have 144hz or IPS. Gaming at 1080p at the minute.
  6. So I was looking at the specs of the 780 and the 980 earlier as well as the 780ti as I am looking ahead to see what to expect from the 980ti and if itll be worth it or not and came across something I thought was peculiar. Engine Specs GTX 780 GTX 980 Cuda Cores 2304 2048 Base Clock (Mhz) 863 1126 Boost Clock (Mhz) 900 1216 Texture Fillrate (billion/sec) 160.5 144 Memory Specs Memory Speed (Gbps) 6.0 7.0 Standard Memory Config (MB) 3072 4096 Memory Interface GDDR5 GDDR5 Memory Interface Width 384-bit 256-bit Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 288.4 224 The bold parts are aspects that are worse on the 980. Why has this been done? Is it Nvidia's way of gimping the 980 so that it isn't as good as the Titan X or the upcoming 980Ti? Also what is expected of the 980Ti?
  7. Indeed, but it's one or the other.
  8. At least 1080p, around £150 but flexible, gpu has support for Dual-link DVI Mini DisplayPort x 2 HDMI x 1 I hate screen tearing but have heard that IPS is better than high refresh rate? Use your better judgement on this one
  9. Please find me the best price/performance ratio monitor that is 25" or more, ask for more specifics.
  10. http://www.dabs.com/products/viewsonic-vg2401mh-24--full-hd-144hz-1ms-gaming-monitor-9W62.html use code EPSIVG2401 to get £50 off (sorry the OP was rushed so did not include code)
  11. Got windows sorted I already have a copy from a guy who I know works at PC World. He gets them for free. She does game and it would be for surfing too.
  12. I'm looking for some parts for a small PC I want to build for my sister. I already have my old Radeon 6770, 320GB HDD and AM3+ Mini-ITX Mobo, so what else can you suggest? I want something that is sort of really small and wouldnt look out of place near a living room tv.
  13. Any size that isnt huge. My sister is 10 years old.
  14. Yes, I havent worked it out but I could be maxing out the 450mbps transfer rate limit already. Damnit.
