  1. follow up for those interested that find this thread in the future. the phone doesn't charge wirelesly any more after you insert that small metal plate in the phones case.
  2. lol. i mean cheap to try.... phone doesn't crack in 2 if it falls once from a cars dashboard. unless your cars window is open and it goes flying out...
  3. i use an s7 edge. thanks so much for the replies guys. the magnet is pretty strong. i mean, unless you're off roading or something. you should try one if you have the chance. they are dirt cheap. like 5-7 euros
  4. hey guys. so the latest thing nowadays is a magnetic phone holder for your car which securely holds your phone right in front of the air vent, which also cools your device when it's used while being charged and being in direct sunlight. i love this solution because the phone stays put and is gets cooled by the cars AC. HOWEVER... in order to attach the phone to the doc, you have to insert a small metal plate inside your phone's case. QUESTIONS: 1. does the magnetic field of that doc damage the phone battery, sim and/or screen?? 2. does that small metal plate affect my phones wireless charging in any way?? i'm sorry if these are noob questions but i can't find this info. please help
  5. Loved the video. Don't have anything to say about the product as I have never used a projector.
  6. Had a friend ask me a question. Did not know what to tell him... He has 8GB of DDR3 memory (2x4GB sticks) running at 1600Mhz and 1.65v He wants to know if he could add another 8GB (2x4GB sticks) of 1600Mhz DDR3 that runs at 1.5v Mobo is MSI Z77A-G43.
  7. I have no clue how photoshop works and I can't afford to buy one 'cause it costs a fortune. If anyone has a bit of spare time and knows how photoshop works, shoot me a message and I'll send you the pics.
  8. My thoughts exactly, an NPC can handle a stupid back turret without much trouble (hopefully)... and I really wanted that USB-stick shaped like a space ship...
  9. My thinking is that exploration will be most important in the first days of the game, before people chart everything. I want to get out there and be the first to find stuff. I purchased the stock Freelancer but the DUR upgrade is only $15 and I might make the plunge. I'm going to hold off for now though, game development is inching forward and I want to see what other ships are revealed in the future. I may apply the DUR upgrade, I may just change the Freelancer for a Constellation Aquila and man it with NPCs... who knows... I'm good for now. On another note, the Constellation Aquila would be freaking perfect for me (aside from not having friends to join me). Aquila is Latin for 'eagle' and it represents the bird who carried Zeus' thunderbolts in Greco-Roman mythology. My in-game handle/name is zeus_anoxia (same as here), so it fits like a glove. The ship (Aquila) carries my thunderbolts (lasers and missiles). How freaking awesome is that?? I have to stop nerding out...
  10. Is there a place I can go to get all the available info about this game without asking a million questions on the forums?? I found a wiki but there isn't much there. I'm hearing of people "scraping" one of their ships to get something better, others are selling their limited edition ships to other players for a profit and more. How is that done?? Is insurance 6-months in-game time or real life time?? I have a million questions running through my head... I need a manual. At least a partial manual that contains info about the game as it stands right now.
  11. hey guys, thanks for accepting me into the organization. Question: I have a game package with "6 Month Insurance" (whatever that means), 5000 UEC and a bunch of other crap, if I buy a second game package with a different ship, do the credits and insurance stack up??
  12. I did read your post and I thank you for your advice. I said "got it" as in I got the idea, that ship upgrades are a one time deal. I actually bought the stock Freelancer Plus package for the USB space-ship and the galaxy map poster (yep, I'm a nerd).
