  1. I know the background around 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but 6GHz does look like it's better than 5GHz in terms of penetration, tho that's just my guess and i think that way bcos 6GHz should be an improvement over 5GHz not only in speeds. But I will need to test that and see with my own eyes. So what I'm trying to say is that 6E or 6GHz doesn't look as limited as 5GHz does. But again, i might be wrong.
  2. I don't really need a web browser since i am dealing with applications :x From some guys I hear how more secure they are and keep their privacy for themselves and what you are doing on it. Ofc they can prob see, but they will block anything that tracks you or anything like that without your permission, that's at least how I heard. Running on my server would be very cool ofc. I want to build one day a server cos i am hungry for experience and all, but going immediately into that can be overwhelming. There are many things you'd need to consider it's not a small task als if you are playing with subnets and all. In general i have no idea how everything really works, I have some knowledge from school when we were forced to calculate subets etc... that was funny but it was over too soon and I never had to use it again and I also didn't have much money to spare in school :x now i have a bit more to play around c:
  3. I'd recommend to check the chennels you are on. Sometimes you can connect to the same channel other people are connected to and in that case you can get lower speeds, so going away from the most crowded channel helps. To check on which one you are I'd recommend downloading WiFi Analyzer
  4. EU has 1Gbit coverage easily. But In my case even tho we have the best ISP in the country, we get with like 70-80€ sub a month only 750Mb/s and to have full 1Gb/s or additional 250Mb/s you'd need to pay between 20-25€ more a month as far as i recall, so let's say around 100€ a month for 1Gb/s.
  5. What if he had WIFI 6E would that in his case solve some issues? As I understand 6E or 6GHz network has only devices over that support that and less interference.
  6. you can try MashAI from Asus, prob other companies have sth similar like access points, but here you have multiple routers connect between each other that serve as a boost. CAT7 cable would support higher speeds with the router that can take advantage of that, hence even CAT6a would be enough, but those are only tools that can support those speeds. The one who carries that speed is coming from your ISP or ISR device. In orther to get higher speeds you would have to talk with ISP and set or unlock higher speeds which costs more money or change a subscription package you are running on. Usually at homes you get around 1Gb as a standard or maximum somewhere, to get more than that it would cost a lot more. At least that's to my understanding. If you are paying fix amount of money for 700Mb/s connection, then no router or cable will increase that speed. Usually at homes if they have speed like that they can go up to 1Gb since they have router and cables that support maximum of that. It would be different however if you said you have subs for 2.5Gb and you have only 700Mb/s. then that would just call for an upgrade of either cable or router of both. But what you can achieve with better router is higher WiFi speeds.
  7. I see. Will look into everything that you and others suggested.
  8. Do they require more resources on a computer? I think it has its own software that you don't have to pay for since it comes like all in one. I think that's quite common practice for Asus routers other than if there are in partership with VPN provider WTFAST I don't follow. You trying to tell, Paid = more secured?
  9. Nah I wouldn't really bother with WiFi since I won't be using that much, others might or if I am on the laptop which usually i am not in house. But since i am on a run for a new one i might as well get everything today's market can offer me. I don't know how can it be fine. It's totally locked away. I mean primary function is yes to kinda plug and go, but messing with anything besides that is impossible since settings arent even there. Maybe i am asking the wrong question. Is or are there any settings in unlocked routers you buy that you can benefit from? Or am i looking in the wrong place? I want to know more and go around annoying sites and apps that record everything of you. Basically, i am trying to be more anonymous than I am today.
  10. Mostly I want to hide the identity on the interent, since I am dealing with countless people everyday and applications that record your time, locations and ip... Ofc WiFi is slow. Doesn't have WiFi 6. It an ISR device which packs 3 things together and in which in nothing excels well. It's locked, doesn't have any featuers other than to change SSID and password and from automatic IP or static. that's all the featuers. I don't have any server, mabye in the future when i get more things on my hand.
  11. Fiber. I don't think COAX even reaches these speeds
  12. I am looking at Asus's routers right now and was wondering which on to pick I want it to be 6E to be future proof for a while since I am upgrading my home with 6E devicing this year. I am also looking for something like protection or featuers with VPN and so on, I am working in crypto space and I'd like to have a bit more freedom on the interent. I also heard that if you have VPN you can "install" or have it on router and then any device which connects will be connected with the VPN. I also play games, but my interent is quite good with 750Mb/s wired - FIBER, other than that i have ISP device, forgot the word you use for modem+router+switch, think it is ISR and overall it lacks 95% of featuers and it's locked in a way. So that's the biggest take away for me to upgrade. I am looking for mid-range router, but any higher options are welcomed as well.

    Monitors

Samsung's LC32" monitor is good for the price it's curved, it's 1440p and 144hz and has nice and accessable settings. You need to look for QUXEN version that one has 8bit panel with freesync other version is without it and has 6bit+FRC panel. both have solid contrast. You can also trying newer panels from samsung. since you will be gaming you don't need more than 16:9 unless you will be doing productivity things then 21:9 aspect would make more sense otherwise stick with 16:9. You can always go with FHD panel and 240Hz which should be around same price but most of the panel in that res are 27" Now if you are playing just FPS going FHD and higher refresh rate might make more sense since you are not playing for quality but responsivnes, but if you are playing mixed genres or open worlds then QHD is the way to go. your hardware will more than support it.
  14. As long as you can provide an invoice from the time you bought motherboard they will replace or repair or check the motherboard, incase you don't have invoice of the motherboard do not bother RMAing it, because they will straight out reject it in their repair center. For low end CPUs you do not need good motherboard and any will do just fine, usually what people are looking on that specturm is the look of it and the I/O.
  15. I was wondering to upgrading from TUF B450 Gaming Pro to this board, but b450 tuf has like the shittest memory support I've seen and When i looked the memory support for this board it was as well as shitty as ever. This board however has 6 layer PCB which should be good, but overall support of RAM kits is very low and exteremly bad for a mid range motherboard. What I want to ask now is if anyone who has this board knows if PATRIOT ram or Royal Z or Fury Beast work good with it? I was also looking at Neo Ram Kit which usually works on every board. So my previous problem was with PATRIOT VIPER STEEL 2x8GB 3733MHz kit. Probably b450 tuf motherboard hates that ram really well, because I cannot have anything stable unless it is on 2133MHz frequency, anything else will eventually crash, it's just a time difference between sooner or later... I always doubted it was RAM fault, i mean it is in a way, I could've just changed RAM kit, but I need newer mobo with more featuers and I find this board very appleaing in many ways. If you have any other recommendations about boards like this, I absolutely needs to have CMOS clear button, more usb ports is a plus. Everything else falls into good VRM and good Memory Controller category with 6 layer PCB if possible. But I doubt there is any other motherboard that looks as good and is so feature rich packed at the same time. I was also thinking of upgrading from 3600 to 5800x So what I will be doing is mostly doing work in Premier or AE and game occasionally and need something strong, stable and fast.
