For a couple of months now I've had games seemingly run fine then randomly crash to desktop. When I got to restart the game the file is gone and I'm not able to open the program or I get stuck in a boot-load cycle of the specific software. I attempted to update the firmware of my SSD, 980pro, so I used Samsungs Magician to update and check on the health of the drive with nothing found. I was hoping the firmware update would fix it but alas it did not and games continued to crash and disappear. I then assumed it was my motherboard slot so I switched out the position of 2 of my drives, the other one is a 970evo. This didn't seem to help at all so finally I assumed the drive was just bad, the reason this was my last thought is because of Samsungs exceptional history of drives not failing. I moved everything over from my 980pro to my 970evo hoping this would fix the issue but nothing changed. The only other thing I can think of is the motherboard sata module is failing? I'm kind of at a loss here and any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: My 2nd Drive, 970evo just had the same thing occur for the first time today. I'm assuming it's the motherboard.
