Patiently waiting for ultrawide OLED

I switched from dual 27" 2560x1440 to a single 21:9 ultrawide and have been very happy with it. I only play single player games and the extra immersion has been great. Normal non gaming usage is really good too with the extra width. I don't find myself missing dual monitors, except for the rare occasion I want to play a chill game and watch YouTube or something. Playing in windowed mode works fine for those games on the rare occasion I want that.
 
I have the Alienware AW3418DW and have been super happy with it. Only gripe is less than stellar black level performance, but that is only noticable in a small fraction of games I play (like dark parts of Hitman2 for example). Othwise 3440x1440 at 120 Hz is wonderful.

There is only a "heat issue" if your airflow is poor, the "new" Kingston A2000 series is almost on par with a Sata ssd when it comes to price... paid 1390:- (sek, swedish currency) for mine. and the speeds are 2200 read 2000 write mb/s that is .. compared to a sata ssd that is almost 3 x the speed since normal sata ssd is around 550-600mb/s. 

If you have populated your m.2 slot you can always buy a pci-e adapter card, Asus has one for around 300-400 sek that can hold 4 x m.2 nvme drives

The setup seems great. Did you remove or leave the top filter with the H150i Pro?
I greatly appreciate the input. It's a reminder to pull up old reviews and to look for new ones. The H150i Pro is definitely one of the coolers that are a bit iffy due to the performance inconsistency.
 
Results will vary between systems and that's why test results from reviews won't 'agree' in the order of cooler temps. Since testing every configuration isn't feasible, the list is an attempt for the next best thing by finding an average result from tests. There are certainly details lost in summary since coolers like the H150i Pro that sometimes perform much better and coolers like the H115i Pro that are more consistent but don't perform as well on the upper end can end up in the same tier.

Not necessarily. I have a 240mm rad for my cpu and I just never hear those fans. Even when running adia64.
 
GPU fans are known that they can be quite noisy.

the water cooler requires a radiator and the radiator requires fans so it's not going to be any quieter 

I would totally get it checked if I had a way to pay for it, Im pretty tight on money but at least now i know how I would fix it. Thank you.

10 min full stress test with 100% load on ALL cores is more than enough while 1 week of never shutting down doing gaming/streaming/paying bills and other everday tasks = 100% stable and a perfect measurment of temperature in real world usage

Returning the monitor though... it was opened and had on fat text written "RETURN" ontop of the box = send me a NEW one biatches  
 

Well i bought an defective Msi Gtx 970 gaming x and identified the mosfet/driver/resistors that where broke and asked Semiconducters if they had any i could buy and instead they shipped me 4 x mosfet´s 2 thermos 1 x gtx 1070 as xmas gift... im still totally blown away ! 
 

uhhh... the 9700k is not a Hyper Threaded 8-core CPU. between the two, the 9700k would get demolished by the 2700x in transcoding.

Right on.  I use a Thermaltake Core P3 so all you would see is white if I had the stock fans on the front of the AIO.

You cant see my white fans  got it setup in the front of the P400 Tg case ill post a pic with an older gpu installed

@Kenjo  Can you wait until Q2 and see what AMD presents?  If anything prices might go down and then you might get her to agree to some more new toys also.

Just keep the 2700X and when Zen 2 releases, buy your overly expensive monitor and something like a Ryzen 7 3700X (12c/24t, about 5ghz when overclocked)
