  1. Hi all, So i fired up the PC this morning (gmt+1) and i saw some weird artifacts while browsning the web and having my morning coffee , then i launched a game and the screen was literally filled with artifacts , pressed the windows key and they where gone and within 10 seconds the pc shutdown and restarted . now my GPU core clock is stuck at 780mhz when booting 3dmark or any game ! time to send back to the shop ?

having a look at the Acer Predator Z35 with Gsync its quite affordable if you got 900 usd to throw at it... current price .. anyone heard anything about these puppies Is that AW a VA panel btw... i read alot of ppl moaning about black being grey etc.. my XG32vq was a VA panel and i had no issues.. but i can clearly tell the difference between ips and VA now.. the monitor i got atm is a IPS 60hz Lenovo (friend of mine let me borrow it) and the colours POP

    Monitor help :(

well i mostly play Fifa 20 and similare games with 0 frame cap , diablo 3 RoS sometimes and im looking to play the outerworlds when its out and cyberpunk , not that bothered about 4k as much and i do really like the idea of 21:9 over 16:9 to be honest.. the Asus monitor i had was a 32" 1440p 144hz (when it felt like it hence the RMA)

    Monitor help :(

Hey, So im in a pickle... Asus are being R - Tards and the shop i bought the XG32VQ monitor from , first they said ship the defective monitor to ASUS... so i did.. after speaking to 3 different people i sent everything in to them and i received a BROKEN monitor back without anything except for the stand.... so i contacted Asus and the shop and they finally after a week agreed to take the monitor in and with accordance to local Consumer rights im entitled to either a BRAND NEW monitor of the same series or repaired... the shop then Replaced the monitor so i was yay... finally after 2½ weeks.. i picked it up today from the postal office and its in a non branded brown box with no accessories so i cant power it on also the package material was the one that i sent in so they are clearly breaching consumer rights so im currently having issues with them back and forth ! Now my wife told me to buy a NEW monitor regardless.. and here is the crux of the matter ... i have been looking at 3440x1440p with either freesync2 or Gsync (2080 ti is my gpu), I would like to know what kind of monitors you would recommend and for the love of god do not talk Performance / price battle etc that is so irrelevant Some models i have been looking at: AoC 35" UGC6 120hz Gsync MSI 34" Mag Optix freesync 100hz I would just like to get the most reliable and one that has either vesa 75x75 or 100x100 since i need to use a desk arm to mount due to space limitations with the depth of the desk (80cm) No bickering / arguing etc just helpful experience please
  8. Found the issue.. its come lose (red cable) from the fan pcb... time to solder and on further inspection the fan pcb is corroded... ah well time to strap a 90mm fan into that position
  9. That was my thought aswell.. have any usefull links ? i only seem to find non suitable ones.. it has to be a 3 screw hole one cant remember the sizes
  10. Hm weird issue... 1 of the 3 fans are not moving at all.... gpu seems to work fine but its annoying that 1 of the fans isnt moving.. i have cleaned everything and only the furthest one out (from i/o) is not spinning regardless of gpu temperatur Any suggestions ?
  11. Sorry for late respons.. Gigabyte answered me saying "we removed the F4 as notified on the website and now F5 is 1st release" ... basically they referred to the Subject to change and said it was just a mere flash and voila
  12. So as stated in my other post about low NVME speeds... close this thread pls i have received a replacement board Aorus Pro Z390 and speeds are excellent... 3540mb/s on the 970 no problems ...
  13. Close this thread please... it was a Defective board.. have a gigabyte board now and both nvme drives are working as advertised.. 970 = 3540mb/s
  14. Hey boys n gals, As the topic states its a weird one, i just received my replacement board for the Defective Msi z390 gaming pro carbon , a Aorus Pro Z390... went to gigabyte´s website to find a newer bios and it tells me that the earliest bios is called F5... my board has an F4 bios from 2018 go figure ,)
  15. I know , i was so sure it was 1 of my posts about having slow speeds on my nvme drives hopefully i havent offended anyone
  16. sorry im drunk on god knows what since i dont drink .. i was so sure you answered my thread about motherboards.... /leaving thread
  17. Yes i am and im talking about Benchmarks not real world.. if its rated to do 3500mb/s in Samsung Magician then i expect to achive that or atleast 3300Mb/s NOT 900mb/s ... and we are straying from the inital question of which board is the better / more reliable
  18. Yeah i know what your saying.. thats why when i tested the board out of the case i had a 90mm fan blowing directly onto the m.2 drive and still couldnt reach higher than 850-900mb/s yet windows reported pci-e gen 3 x4 but the actual speeds i achived was more like pcie gen 2 x2 at best
  19. Yes but i should reach the same speeds in a quick test / long test or any test that they have performed , i know real world experience is different but if i cant achive the same test results then there is something wrong.... Your statement is abit like buying a car that is advertised to do 200mp/h but when you drive it , it only reaches 100mph ... speed limit stops you from actually driving that fast on public roads but if you purchased it to drive on Nurnberg ring you should reach 200mph regardless.... ok bad comparison but i assume you understand what i mean... If you buy something that states X or Y it MUST achive X n Y in the same tests as the manufacturer advertises otherwise its a breach of advertisement laws/rules To early in the morning
  20. To answer you all i have a topic in the storage thread, the MSI board totally refused to work with 2 x nvme m.2 drives and gave me Pci-e Gen 2 x2 speeds.... its off on RMA atm thats why i was asking about the Asus board since they are the exact same price and i would be able to do a straight swap .. but i think im buying a PCI-E extension card the Asus Hyper V2 with 4x gen3 x4 m.2 slots
  21. i had 0 sata storage... only storage = 2 x nvme m.2 and yes its at the postal office atm
  22. Ive used the Msi board for a while and it has 8pin + 4 pin cpu power while the Strix only has 8pin (can handle constat of 235w) ... ive been running my 9900k@5ghz 1.32-33vcore ... wondering if i should stick with MSI even though ive had poor luck with their motherboards , will it make any difference that the Asus board only has 1 x 8pin cpu power while MSI has 8+4pin cpu power ?
  23. Hm was considering the Asus Hyper m.2 x16 v2 card , would that not be usefull ergo only using 1 of the m.2 slots on the board and then the 2nd pci-e x 16 slot ?
  24. Hey, Yeah i already tried that i think that 12h without a Cmos battery and jbat1 jumpered should have cleared anything in bios even the Gremlins Its been sent back to the shop as we speak .. hopefully the replacement is in working order since both Samsung / Msi suggested i send the board in. Now i just have to wait to probably find out that both NVME drives have gone on holiday untill 2030
  25. Hey , you should see the rig spec in the answer to Chiyawa , only have gpu + nvme drives utilizing the pci-e lanes
