  1. The only problem I'm seeing, is that my games run at about half the frames they should be when running high temps. Is there any setting in the BIOS or anything to stop thermal throttling when the temps get too high?
  2. Hey everyone, I've looked all over the internet on this topic, and I have done everything I can to possibly fix this problem... Now I need help. I have an HP Pavilion 500-214 that I've upgraded to fit my needs. Specs: 8GB Kingston Hyper FuryX 1866mhz RAM EVGA GeForce GTX 660 SC EVGA 500w White PSU AMD A8-6500 APU at 3.7ghz FM2(Stock) Coolermaster hyper 212 Evo Cpu cooler MSI 2AE0 Mobo (Stock) 2TB Hard Disk Drive Optical Drive Stock Case Win 8.1 -------------------------------- My problem is this: I have been having constant problems with thermals on my APU. I've noticed that ever since putting in my GTX 660, I have been having a bit of a heat problem with my APU (At this point I didn't use any software to monitor temps and speeds, but noticed my game lagging a LOT) Though, the problem may have arisen before the GTX 660. Even being at idle, my APU wants to run at around 50-70C and has gotten as high as 91C while under load from CSGO. My GTX 660 has only gotten to around 50C while under load, which I think is fine. No matter how tight I get the Hyper 212 EVO to my APU with the grain of rice method used on it, (Artic mx-4 thermal paste) and get an even spread, I CANNOT get these readings down! My integrated graphics are disabled in BIOS, my fans are running at a decent speed (One on the back for exhaust, one on GTX 660, and one on 212 EVO), my case is open on the side panel, because (silly me) the cooler doesn't fit inside the case properly, and I have installed all the software I could possibly think of (Speccy, HWinfo, HWMonitor, Speedfan, AMD Overdrive) and they all read the same. I currently have a small fan pressed to the side of the open case, in hopes that it may drop some temps, but I am still only left with a -3C change. The lowest I have gotten so far within these past few weeks is 45C. I'm not sure whether to just keep using this setup and save money for a new MOBO, CPU, and case and just let this thing burn, or not. (This option wouldn't be my best option as I am in college and need to save money.) HELP MEEEE PLEEASE Thank you, Gyluss.
  3. I use an AMD APU with 1Gb. I'm going to be building a PC when I move to college, which is less than two weeks away, and would desperately LOVE a cut on budget, while also having an amazing graphics card to power everything. Essentially what I'm saying... Gibe nao pls? Gibe nao pls. Thanks.
