Sin Stalker reacted to KuJoe in Selling Ps3 On eBay?
Write down the serial numbers before shipping, take lots of pictures of the console, and trust your instincts (if the buyer seems shady, pushy, or gives you a bad vibe then abort before shipping and contact eBay/PayPal).

Serial numbers etc... take video of it for proof it works. You could also use sites like craigslist if in america or kajijiji if in canada. (I think thats the name of it)

So there is this great program on steam, that lets you have live wallpaper again. It has its own "workshop" where you can create and download wallpapers.
While searching for clocks, I found this Hunter Clock and had to share it.

The Kelvin scale is also based on the triple point of water, at least for the moment.
It's likely going to be redefined with Boltzman's constant in 2018, but for now is literally just the Celsius scale shifted down to absolute zero. Mathematically, it doesn't have any direct relation to any other SI unit.

Really sorry to hear about that experience... that is not at all what we have come to expect from iFixit stuff - in our experience their kits work extremely well, and that's even after getting the "Linus treatment."
Have you spoken with their customer support? If so can you PM me your ticket number so I can get it escalated?
Sorry for the hassle!

I don't think that's supposed to happen. I'm sure you could contact iFixit to work that out, perhaps with someone from LMG on your side @nicklmg

If you are comfortable with case cutting yoou can make a 280mm rad mount anywhere on your case very easily. I did it myself

Cool! Yeah you'd probably be better off with 6-cores, although keep in mind the power consumption will be higher than a modern 6-core especially when OC. Have fun with the tweaking/getting an decent OC!

Just get a cheap pulled from server xeon.. They go for really almost nothing on Chinese websites.
A x5650 would overclock to 4ghz without problems if you have a water cooled system..
They are indeed not intended for desktop users, but it really doesn't matter that much. They out perform i7 chips and do well in games(check YouTube).. If the board you have can run x980 x990 then just give it a try..
5650's go for 34 bucks, its a hexa core chip with 12M cache.
By the way also check my topic. I have one question that still remains unanswered..

Only Calculus is how we have derived and uncovered quasars! So Calculus > Quasar.
I don't want ancient sounding. My point was that Calculus sounds more like a name than Geometry or other math subjects.
Yes, conformity is easy. But I do not conform based on ad populace.
A "normal" name simply means a name which has been used by others (thereby removing the use of the unique identifier) and one which is socially accepted.
Love it!
Calculus, while being taught in high school, is really a college thing. You don't really use it until you go into advanced subjects like physics, economics and finance (to name a few).
Does calculus get used in software engineering?
That isn't a problem. All names were things before they were used as human identifiers.
I am not really interested in naming my kid after a mathematician.
Sorry but I'd question that validity, especially if you despise it. How can someone despise the foundation of modern technology and scientific understand? The way we can take the most advanced and logical language of the human race, math, and give specific things and features of things a name in that language is amazing. But then on top of that, taking those names and being able to link them together in a way no other language can do, via integrals and derivatives is utterly astonishing! We take descriptions of an object in relative space and give it descriptions like velocity, acceleration, jerk, etc, and each of these seemingly separate descriptions can be transformed into one another!
Anyone who despises advanced math had teachers who properly lacked an understanding of its scope. It is utterly amazing!
But I digress...
What is a regular name?
For instance, my wife named our first kid Zuri (which is Swahili). Many may not consider it a normal name, in the US, but in other parts of the world it could be called "regular".
The aspect of a "regular" name or "normal" doesn't actually exist. But I figure most mean a common regurgitated name. I do not see why it should be done with names, yet with other topics, new is okay. People like trying new foods, inventing new foods. We like new designed computer cases and discovering new aspects of the universe.
It is strange to me that when it comes to names, conformity and regurgitation is so desired. "Name him like everyone else because everyone else was named after everyone else," is not a cogent argument. Plus, at some point all names we use today were used for the first time, originating from a thing, or object, whether named after the that culture's name for the sun, air, bird, a color, a food, or some combination of those and beyond.
When is stagnation okay?
And doesn't anyone like the name?

If you wanted to stick with the Calculus theme, you could name him Leibniz or Gottfried.
Science related names that I wouldn't mind naming my own male child would be (mostly because they meet my extra criteria of being fairly normal):
Alan John Von Howard Napier (I've actually used Napier's Bones as a calculator during tests at Uni) Cantor Kirch (would be pronounced Kirk and be a homage to Kirchoff) Maxwell Wernher For your pleasure, here's a list of scientists names, and links to what they've done: https://www.famousscientists.org/list/

This person uses one of the largest CPU (and best) coolers available and it fits just fine.

Get yourself one of these three, They are the best cooling you'll get in that case:

THESE ONES CAN"T DO 4Ghz! \/
If they are out of your budget get one of these:

All the options I showed you outperform the H55. I have an H60 (better) out of nessesity but they don't come close to tower style air coolers in the same price bracket.
They cost at minimum hundreds of dollars. (250+)
LOOK ITS ONE OF THE BIGGEST COOLERS, IN YOUR CASE.
I sent you this link, did you check any of them?

Sin Stalker reacted to Vode in OC 930 Advise/feedback and comparison to other i7s
I wanted to test the waters with X58 for cheap and my case is kinda shitty with airflow (secondary rig) so I thought 4-cores would be more manageable.
I ordered a X5670 for $60 from Korea and Corsair Crysal 570X and will install it once it arrives. But for gaming @ 60hz or even higher the X5640 will suffice usually. I don't expect much better framerates, I'm doing for fun to tinker with OC.

Please let me know how that goes.
I don't just game. I do some content creation (not videos). I'm also multi-tasking alot. Watching videos or play music while I'm working on spreadsheets, rendering 3d images, leaving financial data, photo editing, art and downloading. Most going on at the same time. So I'm very excited now, at having more than 4 cores, unless there is some reason why having the 5640 or my 930 is better.
Oh and running 3 monitors and a TV (4th monitor).

If I upgrade my case, I was thinking of getting something like the H100i. From what I've seen, those seem to be great. I definitely learned that the bigger the radiator, the better. So I'd only get a minimum 240mm, if not a 280 or 320mm. I am worried about the added possible failure point... One of the reviews said 2 to 3 years. With the tower, its just a fan replacement ($75-125 every 3 years vs $20)...
The tower coolers seem to be around the same price. At least the ones you said I'd need if I want to get 4GHz.
I looked at all of them. I was asking questions based on your recommendations. Maybe you missed them. Height wise, it looks like that fits (barely). Although It doesn't look like they have the same MOBO, since mine would have it pressed all the way to the back (different layout).
I'm also trying to figure out if it'll fit along other directions, specifically ram. I've posted my ram, mobo and case, but I've gotten no guidance on how to go about measuring to make sure stuff fits.
I added two of the main three you posted to my wish list on newegg. Aesthetically, I like the be quiet! more than the noctua, but I am not sure how to check if either will fit. I could still use some advise on that.
I am very interested in the suggestions about replacing the CPU with a Xeon. Not sure which of the two that were suggests would be better. Would love some info on that as well, but the main thing is cooling. I'm pretty darn set on OCing the hell out of my system, so I want something that'll let me go to at least 3.8, if not 4+
