  1. I don't get this. Having 2 gameservers on 2 different servers can work better ok, but we talk about 1 SERVER and 2 VMs which is a different question. VMs share resources at the same way so the CPU load will have the same workload in 1 VM or 2 diffierent ones. You just install Linux twice instead of just assigning different game ports and have 1VM but well it's your server you do whatever you want
  2. Do your LAN leds lighting when it's turned off? Have you tried on port 9 UDP?
  3. I'd like to know why would you create a VM for every thing you want? Like c'mon is that necessary to run CS:GO and Rust on different VMs? Waste of resources
  4. No, I'm not.. I apologize. I have no doubt that P8 Lite 2017 is a good phone but does the p10 lite worth the extra 90 - 100 bucks?
  5. You can't reccomend it enough? For almost 200 bucks not worth it? Really?
  6. Hi guys. I need a new phone cause my Galaxy Note 1's time has arrived. I live in europe and the price between those 2 phones are: p8lite 2017 - €189 (~$200) p10lite - €275 (~$290) I've been searching for 2 weeks now and wondering if the price is really worth for the new p10 lite. I'd like to know answers from users that has owned the phone or having one. I already know the differences that p10 lite has: quickcharge, EMUI 5.1, 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM, better LTE, "ac" wifi standard and obviously expecting a longer software update support for a few years at least and maybe other options that improve more the phone, more options? Does those main differences worth the price?
  7. I haven't checked any DD-WRT options but I'm sure it can have something like that. I mean you can VLAN with it even on cheaper router, which is cool. I have a DSL-N55U D1 and it has the guest Wi-Fi option up to 3 APs. Asus RT-AC51U can have it as well which is just a router without a DSL modem. Check it out
  8. If you have a windows machine on your Vmware esxi you can create a VPN server so you can have access to it. Some routers can do VPN server as well.
  9. Hello guys, I've been trying to set up a domain controller on a windows server 2012 r2 however I wasn't able to connect to it due to DNS error. Obviously like any other network DHCP and DNS are managed by the main router however I have read that you can't use router's DNS to solve windows domain controller, so I need to set up a DNS from the server itself. How can I setup a DNS to it and automatically getting the domain even when I connect a new PC to the network? Is there any forwarding DNS? How can I solve this? P.S I don't know if this is the right topic but I see "Throubleshooting" it might incluse this case as well
  10. Thanks for the replies. I don't live in the U.S so newegg links are kinda useless to me. Other than ebay can be shipped to EU? I'd just need the card name so I can take a look at the stores I usually buy from (ebay & amazon ofc)
  11. Hellp guys. Do you know a very cheap GPU I can Buy? I need it for a server that doesnt have iGPU. I am talking about the i7 870 which is old with no iGPU and i would need one to interact with the monitor
  12. That's weird. With my ASUS DSL n55u D1 and UPNP is working fine. Maybe try to open the ports manually?
  13. Thanks for the answer, however the NAS will not be placed where I live but under fiber ISP. The DSL speed is ONLY at home and using a cloud like Dropbox or Amazon would be hard to upload. And the backups will be done only localy, like getting the HDD and copying the photos directly on the NAS.
  14. Falconevo is right. Get yourself a cheap USB Wifi reciever it's about 10 - 20 bucks c'mon.
  15. I need more informations. So you have a mac and you can't join friends matches? What game? And what does not work that it did before?
  16. Is it for business purposes or for home one? Cause I heard that for home users is free *coughs*
  17. I left a comment before you posted but it failed (?). However, for server I meant a dedicated server with a linux managed by me. I have already dealt with linux enviroments and backup softwares, however I just wanted your toughts. I have never used a NAS and I wanted to know your opinions, so yes a more powerful NAS would be good anyway with many bays prefered. As for the amazon questions he does have Amazon Prime, however the place where I live there's only a DSL line (I know it's a shame in 2017) so the upload speed is not higher than about 100 - 110 KB/S which would upload JUST 1 photo in about 3 - 4 minutes. Another question, does QNAP has some sort of redundancy like RAID 1 or 5 ?
  18. The only answer I know for you is getting unRAID. What you want to do is to have a direct access to the VM via GPU but it is possible only having it as a passthrough. So far I know only unRAID that does it but you can't have 1 GPU controlling in real time many VMs as passthrough, you need to turn one at the time if you want to, otherwise you control them via software graphics.
  19. Hello guys. I need some suggestions about getting a NAS or SERVER. First of all I know that RAID is not a backup, however a friend is photographer and works with .raw files (which is like 80MB / photo ) and needs a place to store the files in. Now, is better having a NAS or Server and I need many bays and obviously a RAID configuration maybe 5? For backup he has many WD Elements and will backup the files in there so he will slowly fill up the external HDD with the work shared on other external HDDs. (e.g Photos from March to July in 1 external HDD and from July to November in a 2nd and 3rd external HDD) but all those files have to stay in a NAS / Server. What do you suggest me to buy? I'd like to have many bays and a good RAID redundancy.
  20. I think you didn't read my post. I bought the motherboard before the update came out and I don't even have a CPU. How do I UPDATE the BIOS without a CPU?
  21. An AX860i frying stuff? I don't think so. Corsair has a huge warranty, go for it!
  22. Hello guys, I am helping a friend to build a new PC. However he just buys components more or less every month. He bought an ASUS Z170 Aura a month ago because he wanted an i7 6700k but in the mean time i7 7700k came out and it costs €30 more than the i7 6700k and so he wants it, however I think that the montherboard hasn't the lastest BIOS that support Kaby Lake CPUs is there any way I can update the BIOS without a previous CPU?
