  1. Iv tried different ports. When I go to UEFI Bios Utility for my Asus motherboard I go to advanced settings and then to PCH Storage Configuration and SATA6G_1 Through 6 are enabled but the Hot Plugs are disabled which would not make a difference right?
  2. No sir. Each with their own "Personal" power connector right?
  3. Any ideas? I originally had only an ssd and an hdd for my system but after recently troubleshooting my build for a different problem but when I got my new motherboard replacement it would not recognize them in bios so I got the exact same ssd and hdd brand new and my mb still dose not recognize the new ones. So my last attempt before returning the board again was to try an m.2 ssd and surprisingly the m.2 drive works so now i'm trying to figure out how to get my drives to work.
  4. I plugged in the power connector that plugs into all of the drives and I also plugged in the sata connectors to all of the drives as well. Yes.
  5. Exactly as the title states help!!
  6. Your looking for this with the new gen processor https://www.amazon.com/HP-Notebook-15-ay011nr-15-6-Inch-Processor/dp/B01CGGOZOM/ref=sr_1_8?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1475399496&sr=1-8&keywords=laptop
  7. 1060 just because its newer. I personally have a 1070 and works great.
  8. So I finally got my new pc build to work correctly and after using it for a about 2 days it was asking me for random ups of various programs and needed resets. Not thinking anything of it I turned off my computer and when I go to turn it back on today my mouse and keyboard stop working when I get to windows, they both work fine in bios. This actually happened before but I thought it happened because every time to try to update razor synapse it would give me an error saying it could not update some driver because it was used in another program... What program I barely installed anything, hence new pc build. So what I did to fix the first time was reinstall windows and re download all my programs and not install razor synapse but now that it happened again I guess I can re download if that is not the problem. How can I get my mouse and keyboard to work without having to reinstall windows. Works perfectly well in bios. P.S. I did not activate windows 10 yet. Will activating it let me download drivers correctly or let my mouse and keyboard work?
  9. So I just tested all four pieces of my ram and it looks like my ram got fried as well. If that is not the case it could always be the cpu, sdd or hdd.
  10. I ended up getting a test bench and a new PSU and got the fans spinning and everything but when I put the PSU I wanted back into the rig the Red Pled1 light came on again and to confirm that the Thermaltake PSU fried my motherboards I put my new CX850 back in the rig and it wouldn't start up again. So in conclusion that PSU fried two of my boards and my GTX 970(found out later) So after RMAing two motherboards Amazon refunds you the third time and I needed the money at the time but know I have the money and started my build again except this time I got everything working except I'm facing a new problem. The No display/signal, Q-code 00 and motherboard and keyboard are not working. I suspect the ram is the culprit because it's from my old build and maybe the ram got fried to, no way to test. Anyways if any of you guys can help me here is a link to my new post; @byalexandr @TheRandomness @CommanderAlex https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/654667-no-post-q-code-00-motherboard-and-keyboard-not-working/
  11. By the way the X's mean that I tried stick #1 in whatever slot and still the same thing. Gonna try every one of my four sticks.
  12. I ended up solving my original problem in this post and it ended up being my PSU which fried two of my motherboards hence the Red Pled1 light coming on which means voltage overload. So I figured that out by investing in a test bench and replacing the PSU. Long story short I know for sure it is not the PSU and the motherboard because since I RMA'd two motherboards already on amazon the third time they just give you a refund and I needed the money at the time, so I finally got the money for a new motherboard and I have a new problem... The infamous No display/signal to monitor, Q-Code 00(Not Used) and my keyboard and mouse do not work. You should know, during the in-between stage of me getting money I upgraded the GPU because the old PSU fried my GTX970 with the board(twitching fan) so everything is pretty much the same with a new motherboard, PSU, and GPU here are the new specs; Motherboard: Strix X99 GamingCPU: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-ECooling: Tt Water 3.0 240RAM: HyperX Black 64 GB 2133MHzGPU: GEFORCE GTX 1070(Founders Edition) HDD: WD 1TB SATA 7200 Rpm SDD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB 2.5inch SATA III Cases: Tt T81 PSU: CX850MKeyboard: K70 Rapid FireMouse: Razor Naga(Will use the Corsair Scimitar once I get this PC running and RGB synced) Headset: Astro A50(Not hooked up)Screen: Pb287q BUT I'll be using this little vizo for ease of access and troubleshooting. My hypothesis is the Ram got fried as well which I am currently testing all four sticks in each slot hence the picture down below, not finished yet. Also would it be safe to assume that the CPU is still good? From what I have read is that they are very reliable and it is not even a year old actually I only ran it for about two weeks until my original problem occurred(check my original post I linked at the top). If both my ram and CPU check out the only thing left from what I read is dead hardware; could my ssd or hdd cause any of these issues thanks. P.S. I'm a lil ocd so everything is firmly seated. Not a problem.
  13. Interesting, except my psu won't stay on long enough either.
