also my family thinks i am the guy who doesn't know anything about computers and i will break them just cause i keep playing with new os and i open my case every once in a while to clean up or upgrading ...
 
 
and they think my sister is better than me in computers just cause she let them skype ...  and open some web sites for them T_T 

one time i was fixing a neighbour pc for free .. just installing windows in the middle of the setup his harddrive died and now they blame me for this no no one in my home town lets me fix there pc 
 
also i installed  antivirus in my friends  pc and after a couple of days his os crashed he wont let me touch his pc either ....
 
 and i was like how is this my fault ..

I have been having the same problem with my AMD 7870 ghz edition it works fine on standard VGA driver but as soon as I install new drivers from website or the one provided in the disc it goes to a complete black screen and all i can do is restart the computer. Also if I connect the computer to internet it also causes black screen as windows updates the drivers. Since I have tried with multiple drivers new and old from several sources . My conclusion is my gpu has gone bad and so has yours. If you want to talk more about this let me know ill show you what my pc does.

my friends think any 2 gb gpu's can play any game in the world and macs are better than pc just cause they are made by apple -.-

ok so my computer was not working i didn't had tools or an extra components at the moment so i took it to the it guy 
 
 
and the first thing when he opened my case and he asked me is this a server ? just cause i was not using stock cooler and had a couple of 120 mm fans in the case 
 
also he asked me why i bought a 7870 i could have gotten any gpu and i was like yeah ur cheap ass gpu will play crysis for me  
 
and he was so ruthless with my computer oh god ... he was trying to take out my gpu without unlocking the lock  
 
he was pressing the stock heat sink with his hands like it would fix the problem and when i told him ur gonna break it
 
he said do not tell me what to do ... and i was like just cause u own a shop does not mean u know every thing 
 
some people are so dumb and in the end he was not able to fix it 
 
after a couple of days i replaced ram and found out one of my ram was dead and bios setting were wrecked
 
i fixed it just by replacing the ram and taking out cmos .... 

Had the same problem, even worse I can say. Spilled the coke all over the keyboard and was very sticky, couldn't tap the key.
I took all the keys out and put them in a warm water for like 10 minutes and took the ear pick, put it in a warm water and then cleaned the keyboard.

is samsung even interested in the CPU/GPU market that isnt mobile?  we need AMD without AMD intel would just have their way with everyone.. personally i dont think Intel would let AMD go under better to have an under performing competitor than deal with no competitor at all

HAHAHA I don't get it...

My issue with non-techies that i know. instead of being patient they go out and buy new computers THEN ask me to fix them. Bonus i have inherited 2 laptops from such people. Which needed very minimal work done to them.. I mean really i felt guilty accepting their offer of the items, almost out right refusing the gift, because it was something so simple. On the other hand I now know which "Tech repair" shops in that area are bs and refuse to do business with them, and out right tell them not to go there. I mean they classified a perfectly good hdd as junk on one computer (Guessing wrong file was deleted, crashed and needed the OS reinstalled), and  couldn't  reconnect the two wires to  wifi card on the computer that was purchased there, after mentioning it was a display model.
 
Or the non-techies that say "my computer is too slow, I think i need more hard drive/ram" and after a quick inspection they have a crap ton of processes running, tool bars and bloatware because they didn't read "uncheck box if you don't want this".

I told my friend that downloadmoreram.com is a joke but he didn't believe me. He said that he had already downloaded 16GB of RAM and his computer is so fast now! What an idiot!

Our ENTIRE FUCKING SCHOOL save for a few exceptions run on such a concept.

Some kid in my school was showing me his Razer Blade laptop and I saw his steam library and all he had was COD MW3 and 2 other games that I don't remember, no joke.

So, at my school there was a large whiteboard display in our old classroom.
 
It uses VGA, and one day the VGA adapter was loose because it wasn't screwed in correctly, so certain pins weren't connected. This caused the screen to display everything in shades of red. The teachers thought it was a problem with the display ITSELF and not that the VGA cable was not connected.
 
In the end, they ended up spending like 100-200$ getting a repair person to come in and fix it.

I had experience with bent pins on CPUs that had a hard time, and all the times I tested them, they would either boot and work fine, or not boot at all.
Try unplugging all Optical drives and hard drives, then boot the PC and try entering bios.
