  1. could I use some other bracket? And it's an H110i.
  2. I recently won a LEPA Exllusion 240 Liquid CPU Cooler, but I already have a corsair cooler on my cpu. Would it be beneficial to use this cooler on my GTX 1080 G1 Gaming card? I've seen people do this with reference cards and a bracket, but I'm not sure if I should do this, or just sell the cooler and use the money elsewhere. Link to the cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835494020
  3. My problem is when I turn my computer on I get a "display out of range" prompt. If I go through the UEFI first, then click 'save and exit' it boots to windows at the right resolution and refresh rate. How can I fix this? Hardware: BenQ 2720z (@ 144hz with a Display port cable), Gigabyte Gtx 1080 G1 gaming
  4. Why are newer racing games moving away from the player owning and upgrading cars? One of my favorite parts of older Forza games was buying a slower car, and upgrading it into something with some decent power and handling. I have read that in forza 6 you can own cars, but can't upgrade them. Forza 6 Apex is even worse, since you just unlock cars, not buy them. I like the idea of having "my garage" with "my cars" in it, not just picking a car from a list.
  5. What is the real difference between the Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming and Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce? I see that the clock speed is a bit higher on the G1, but is that the only real difference? Would they both OC to the same level? http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5960#kf http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5915#kf
  6. What do you think of this motherboard? It can use 2 more fans. Also does the pump for that cpu cooler use one of the fan ports? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Q9Gj4D/asus-motherboard-z170a
  7. Budget My budget is $3000 USD. Goal I would like to play racing/flight sims, new AAA titles, and VR games. I would also like to be able to play in surround and or close to 144fps when possible. Side Note I already have some of these parts, partly from buying them already and partly from winning them at a Lanfest event. The power supply is probably overkill, but I can't return it. Not quite sure about the MOBO. I plan on overclocking, and I've heard people like this board. 8. +1 for Lepy. I upgraded from an old stereo to the one below. I got this instead of the one @spwath linked since it is 2.1 so I can add a sub later. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AQARWHW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. Thanks for all the info. I'm not sure if I want to spend more money now in hopes of spending more money later, especially with how low the performance gains and reliability of SLI is. If one 1080 isn't enough I'd rather lower my standards (and graphics settings) than lower my bank balance.
  10. Good to know, but if I went with a single 1070 or 1080 would the 6800k be enough?
  11. I was planning on getting a 6800k, would that be good enough overclocked? For double the price they seem pretty close on cpuboss.com
  12. I'm planning a new build right now and my goal is to be able to play games like Black Flag, Fallout 4, Witcher 3 on somewhat high settings at 1080p 144hz surround. I have an HP laptop with a GTX 650m currently, so I'm used to having the settings turned way down to get closer to 45+ fps. If this isn't possible, I'd be fine with 144hz when only playing on one monitor and 60+ when on surround. I know the GTX 1070 has 3 display ports, but would it be powerful enough to do this? Also is there any resource online where I can see benchmarks of games running at that output? All I can find are single monitor benchmarks.
