  1. The title says it all. I am currently eyeing an Asus Vivobook 14 (X412FA-EK268T) - approx. $700(US) Specs: CPU - i5 8265U, RAM - 8GB DDR4 (Expandable) Storage - 512GB PCIe SSD Display - 1080p IPS (No Touchscreen - I can live with that) IO - Reasonable Backlit Keyboard I am going to install Manjaro XFCE and I will be coding almost all time. (If I need to do something computationally expensive I can use my college's labs). I don't game and I don't watch movies. What do you say? Can I find something better at this price range?
  2. Its an i3-4150. My mobo is an H81. Update: I tried going into 'UEFI OS' and nothing happened. It just booted into my desktop!
  3. Hey guys! So, I did some research and found out that QuickSync encoding helps. Since I am planning to do some Live Streaming in the future, I want to enable QuickSync. But, I have a dedicated (THATS WHAT THEY SAY) GPU - GT 705. I use OBS btw. So, I went to the BIOS and checked everywhere and there just isnt a option to enable iGPU. But, there is an option called 'UEFI OS' (along with BIOS Setup) when I press 'F12'. Can I access 'UEFI OS'? Is it safe? I mean, it wont delete my data or stuff like that right? Help me, I am just a noob to this! (If you have time, check my Twitch - iaurelsiege and YouTube - AurelSiege)
  4. So, I ran TreeSize and I found the thief! It is a folder named 'System Recovery'. It has another sub-folder inside it called 'USERDIFF.0'. It's size is 189 GBs. I dint delete it. Can I delete it?
  5. Thanks for the help guys. By the way, is Treesize safe? (I got it off Windows store but it kept crashing) And, I dont think 'temp' would be doing the mischief. The 'unaccounted' files add up to 281 GBs.
  6. Hey! I was just on casual routine checking my PC. I was shocked to see that my HDD was 93% full. I did not freak out and searched for some help. Damn Windows; they aren't available at the time I am free. So, most of the answers in some forums suggested to check the size allocated for System Restore. I checked it. It was at 2%. No probs there. Second thing was 'pagefile.sys'. I checked that too and it was also very less (I dont remember the exact figures). I ran a full scan on my PC(I use McAfee Antiviru). NO threats. I selected all the files on my 'C' drive including hidden files and clicked 'Properties' button. And, the total size was 175 GBs. My HDD's total 'available' space is 456 GBs. Please help me. Thanks!
  7. Hey guys! I heard that Audacity was compromised a few weeks back. Is it safe now to download from: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/
  8. Hey guys! Whats up? I just wanted to know whether Da Vinci Resolve is safe to install on my PC. (I am going to download from the link below) https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/in/products/davinciresolve Thanks!
