    I've seen those before.  I do have durability concerns, but other then that, it's nice.

    I'd rather have a dongle. That looks flimsy AF.

    @dizmo USB3 preferred.

    The USB 2 dongles are limited to 100mbps.

    @Skanky Sylveon Who says it has to be USB?

    @dizmo That's what the majority of laptops use.

    I'm sure that there are thunderbolt options, but unless you're going higher then 1gbps, it's not that nessacary.

    @Skanky Sylveon If the company so desires they can just make a mini Ethernet to Ethernet dongle. Problem solved, no bottlenecks. That's what mine has.

    @dizmo I don't think that I've seen those before.  What do they look like?

    I love that it exists but in practice, I don't think this is any better.  Looks super fragile

    @dizmo Is it a standard port?

    i would love to have this but at the same time one less port for an adapter method seems a bit fitting in terms of overall design, this just an opinion , but if you're already planning to hook up a thick Ethernet cable to it , but to compromise the whole design aspect of the lapt for it for the real-estate it takes. adapter is a good way.
