  1. Since I am going to university soon I am going to need a laptop around 1800-2000 euros.

    I found the xmg core (1803) and neo (1827) 17. They are about the same price. What's the difference between the two? Btw I know I haven't selected an ssd but that's because I already have one.

    Can I also install a 2.5 hdd? It doesn't say if it has sata on the specifications so I don't think it does.

    Feel free to recommend any other laptop in the price-range

    AirMax devices are meant to be used with similar AirMax devices to establish a solid PtP bridge. Not sure how it would work as a long range wireless antenna. You'd have to test it to see.

    This TP-Link CPE doesn't have that limitation.

    It has a client mode but I suppose it will only connect to 5ghz networks

  3. So I am planning on using it to connect to an ac (just a normal non Ubiquiti standard isp ac/router) and connecting an ac go the ethernet end of the lbe to bridge a network.

    Can station ptp mode be used connect to any ac? or just some specific Ubiquiti devices?

    So basically I want to point this to a house and bridge the network elsewhere (I have permission to use the house owner wifi he gave me the password and I just pay a small fee)

    Why this case? 8 disk bays in a 4U chassis is really not that good, 16 or 24 is more common and doesn't/shouldn't cost more even if you don't require that many.

    Yes this is the correct cable for backplane to motherboard SATA.

    Have a look at these as see that you think:

    Rosewill RSV-L4412

    Rosewill RSV-L4500

    Edit: Also the other 3U/4U chassis with more bays from inter-tech.

    can only find the rsv-l4500 but it doesn't ship to cyprus

    the other inter-tech case with more for around the same price is the 4U 4410

    this looks good but i can't find it from amazon.de

  5. I am new to rack servers

    I am thinking o buying this from here

    and for SATA drives, I will need this? from here? do I just get 2, connect them to the backplane and the sata to the mobo?

    so for PSU in the website (link above), it says

    Quote

    Frame for ATX PSUs (fixed) and redundant 4U-PSU

    Adapter for 2U-PSU + optional 80mm fan bracket

    so I guess it supports atx, 2u and 4u psus?

    it will be an r9 3900x or r7 3700x system that will be online 24/7 i have never bought server psus and i have no idea what to buy

    I buy my stuff from www.amazon.de

    they didn't work

    None of this is correct. BIOS tends to run 10-15C above idle in my experience. Not like putting it through AIDA64, but definitely warmer than just sitting on the desktop. As long as the computer is on and power is going to the CPU, that's all you need. Most of them idle around human body temperature, and that's more than warm enough to loosen up just about anything between Elmer's glue and liquid metal.

    A hair dryer can cause an electrical discharge that will kill the motherboard, so this is definitely not something to do two inches above your VRMs or RAM. With enough distance between you and the motherboard, this is safe to do on CPUs.

    Do not, I repeat, do not ever use sheet metal or a screwdriver to remove a CPU. For one, that will scratch up the CPU's surface and void the warranty. Two, it will trash your cooler's baseplate. Copper and aluminum are very soft metals. Screwdrivers and sheet metal are not. They will win the fight, and when they do, they will destroy the cooler. Three...do you really think jamming a screwdriver or a piece of sheet metal under your CPU to pry it loose is in any way a good idea? You're not loosening the CPU. You're creating a very expensive catapult with no warranty.

    after i tried the arcticlean and failed i tried the hair drier (i pointed it on the heatsink and heated the heatsink only). which also failed.

    idk what else to do

    its stuck on the cooler its, not on the mobo. I already ordered the arcticlean @Ak_An said so if that fails I will try the dryer

    In the future, consider powering up your computer and letting it run idle for 5-10 minutes before trying to pull the cooler. That will heat up the thermal paste and soften it up some, making it easier to remove the cooler without removing the CPU.

    it was on the bios for about 30 mins before i started

    I usually use a credit card to wedge under there ever so slightly, then very very gently turn the CPU around on the cooler until an edge slips off. Once an edge has slipped, the rest is usually pretty easy to get.

    tried it, also tried floss and q-tips

    been soaking it with rubbing 96% alcohol during the process

    This usually works for me, just spinning the CPU like you're unscrewing a screw until it slides off. However, if you really have to force it to get it to spin then that might not be a good idea.

    first thing i tried. tried again still strong

  11. my ryzen 2700x is stuck on the prism cooler

    I have been soaking it in alcohol, used q-tips soaked in alcohol to get thermal paste off the sides, also tried credit card and floss.like this

    should i try a hair dryer to heat it up?

    I have tried for 2.5 hours and it still doesn't budge. i can't get the floss under it

    its the paste pre-applied to the prism cooler

    before cleaning

    after cleaning. i just managed to remove the thermal paste from the sides

    What you say is correct, my gut also tell the HDD is going to kaput... but computer component are not cheap in my country.

    Howeevr, S.M.A.R.T. reported that HDD is good and well, since most of the time that HDD sitting idle unless I game.

    well, the question is do you value your data?

    if it doesn't fail today it will fail tomorrow. change it as fast as possible

  13. for example

    cout<<"Who is the Current Chancellor of Germany"<<endl;
    cout<<"A-Wilhem II"<<endl;
    cout<<"B-Angela Merkel"<<endl;
    cout<<"C-Franz Hamburg"<<endl;
    cout<<"D-Hanz Zimmerman"<<endl;
    cin>>answer;
    while (answer!='B'||answer!='b'){
    cout<<"Wrong! try again"<<endl;
    cin>>answer;
    }
    cout<<"Correct"<<endl;
