  1. I use the machine for gaming and rendering so I'm glad I can improve render times without damaging it.Thanks!
  2. so if I keep the temps low then the lifespan won't be reduced?
  3. Hey, I got a new rig last month and I am thinking about overclocking the CPU (i7-8700k). I have read that overclocking can reduce the lifespan of the CPU so I am wondering is it worth it for me. I have had to save for a long time for this rig and at the moment, I am very happy with its performance so if overclocking will reduce its life significantly then I don't think I would want to do it. So I would like to know is will overclocking reduce the life of my CPU so it might break within the next few years and if so is the performance benefit actually worth it? Thanks. PS: I use this rig for gaming and as I render farm when I am away. When rendering only the CPU is used so I would benefit from more power Specs of my rig: i7-8700k Fractal Design - Kelvin S36 62.4 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 800w be quiet! PSU GTX 1080ti
  4. Hi, I'm looking for some help buying a new monitor. For a few days now i have been browsing the internet looking for a monitor but i cant seem to find anything that fits my needs within my price range. I have a buget of £280 (344 US dollars) and it needs to be 1440p, 144Hz refresh rate and have a DisplayPort input. I would also like it to have a ultra wide 29:1 aspect ratio but i have a fealing i might have to settle with somthing other than that because of the price. However i am willing to go a little bit over budget to get the specs i want. If anyone knows a monitor that fits thease specs please let me know.

  8. Hi, I have a old gaming pc that i got off of ebay for $300 and is VERY slow and can only play cs:go at 30 fps :(. I have an old graphics card but it dose not have any identification on it so i don't know what sort of power it will need and i don't even know if it still works. Would it be safe to plug it in to my pc and try it because i really don't want to break my pc cuz i will have to go without one until christmas. EDIT: The card dose not have any power plugs on it. It draws power from the motherboard

  10. Hi, i'm looking for some help on what Motherboard, CPU, PSU etc i should use in my first build and how much i should spend on parts. It dose not need to be very powerful as i will only use it for browsing the internet. I'm building it as i want to practice building a low end pc before i build the high end pc i want for gaming. it needs to be inexpensive around £140 or $180 if you are in US. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
