Title. Issue at hand : GPU keeps getting error randomly and makes the 1920x1080 resolution unavailable in the display properties (monitor keeps getting set to 1680x1050 resolution at 60hz), 144hz option also not showing on the Display Adapter Properties. Bought the gpu last November 15. Was doing fine for a couple of days. After turning my computer 3 days of initial purchase, I saw that a popup error occured from Radeon GPU Driver: "AMD Wattman has returned to its default settings" etc etc. From then on, I've been experiencing the issue for about 5 times since date of purchase. Steps that I did: 1. Re-seat the GPU. 2. Several PC Resets. 3. DDU even before installing the gpu out of the box. Issue appeared. 4. Unplugged DP Cable to use HDMI then switched back again to DP Cable. Worked for a couple of days. Issue re-appeared. 5. DDU again (safe mode). Installed GPU driver. Issue re-appeared. 6. Reformatted Windows 10 and updated to Build 1909. Worked for a couple of days (until last December 10). Issue re-appeared. I'm now leaning to selling my GPU and buy a 2070S. Too tired and fed up already in troubleshooting this GPU. If anyone of you has the same issue or has some idea to how I could fix this, any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need details on my PC, its on my sig.

5700 xt driver causing resolution errors
Kenoxabe replied to longislandman99's topic in Graphics Cards
Recently happened to me. Would go to 1920x1080 resolution (was stuck to 1680x1050p). Steps that I did 1. DDU'd the latest driver 2. Reverted back to old driver (2 steps down the latest one) 3. Used HDMI as opposed to DP. Was able to go to 1920x1080 4. Updated drivers again 5. Used Display port again. Retained 1920x1080p resolution GPU Used : Sapphire Nitro + RX 5700XT Monitor : AOC G2790PX Might work for you. Give it a try. -
Hey guys. Just recently purchased a Sapphire Nitro + RX 5700 XT. And as I was playing SW:Jedi Fallen Order, I noticed that the temperature for my GPU was reaching 81c and my Junction Temp was reaching 97c. Is there any way to lower the temps without proper cooling? I've already set custom fan curves per temp for my gpu. Thank you for the help.

Bummer. The Windows 7 that I had before grabbing the free upgrade to Windows 10 was OEM. Making it unusable to this new rig. Gonna buy me a new license it seems. Thanks for the answers!

Hi guys. Gonna go straight to the scenario. Built a new rig yesterday (Specs in the sig). Tried to install my Windows 10 (which I got from the 2015 Windows 7 to Windows 10 Free Upgrade). Windows not activating anymore. RECAP on how many devices I've used this license. (I DONT HAVE ANY WINDOWS 10 PRODUCT KEY SINCE IT WAS FREE FROM MS). 1. 2015 from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Update. i5 2500k P67 Motherboard. WORKED. 2. 2016. Installed on a new rig. i5 4690k Z97 Motherboard. WORKED. 3. 2016. Installed on a new rig. i5 6500 B150M Motherboard. WORKED. 4. 2018. Installed on a new rig. Ryzen 7 2700X B450 Motherboard. NOT WORKING. Any work around on this? Thanks.

Will the MSRP for switch games drop?
Kenoxabe replied to NicholasNicholasNicholas's topic in Console Gaming
It actually depends on how badly you want the game. Personally, it's a no from me if the price you're paying for for a 2nd hand is almost the price of a brand new basing on your location. Where I live, brand new costs around $60 and $40 for a 2nd hand. So in my case, considering the price in my area, yes it is. THEN AGAIN, you're the only one who could decide if you badly want the game. Goodluck. -

Knowing Nintendo? No. Try 2nd hand market for the games. You'll get better luck there in terms of lower pricing. -
^ What made me crack a laugh was the Turkey bowling mission. Good mission.

It's a good game. "Could" be compared to Dark Souls series. But in all honesty, it's a different game in itself. I played Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1-3 and Bloodborne btw. Buy it if you have the chance. Played Nioh for more than 100hrs too (on my ps4 pro though). You won't regret it.

Is there any actual reason to get a Nintendo Switch?
Kenoxabe replied to Underi's topic in Console Gaming
This. I'm a PC gamer first and foremost. But recently, I find myself playing on my PS4 since I'm a big fan of single player games with awesome story. Heck, I even re-bought Horizon Zero Dawn with the Frozen Wilds DLC yesterday just to re-play that awesome game which offers awesome story backed with awesome graphics BUT so-so gameplay. I'm even planning on getting myself a Nintendo Switch too. Lol. In order to not miss anything, get them all. Except for XBOX X, I guess. Since you can play the games on that thing on PC too. -
