  1. So, right now I have a gaming PC, here are the specs: Intel i7 7700K Maximus VIII Hero Mobo GTX 1080 FE 32 GB DDR4, 2133 MHz 1TB HDD 250 GB SSD 750W PSU I have three game servers running in the background, and right now it is my only computer. I have the funds to build a new computer, so my question is: do I build an entirely new computer with these (significant) specs: i7 7700K 16GB DDR4 2133 NO graphics card Some hard drive, a Z270 gaming motherboard, and a power supply Or, should I replace the CPU and Mobo in my current build with the new ones, and use the old components to build the server? I am fully open to suggestions. Thanks! Danny.
  2. So, I have a 4K monitor, from LG, exactly which one I am not sure, but in about 75% of my programs, including games and Windows settings. However, in the remaining games and programs, such as gmod and Geforce Experience, it shows up as 1440 native. My specs are in the screenshot, and I have absolutely no clue why this is happening. It mainly just bothers me, as it looks like everything is still running in 4k. Any help is appreciated, ~Danny.
  3. So, I built my PC a while ago, and I have had this problem the entire time. Occasionally, when I shut down my computer, it loses all power, and resets all the BIOS stuff back to default. All the lights on my Motherboard go out. The main way I can tell it happened is if the RGB light on my motherboard goes back to red (I have it set to Blue right now). The past two times it has done this (But never before then), the display freezes on the "Press F2 or Delete to enter UEFI BIOS" screen, and I can't access the BIOS menu. I then have to hold the power button and turn it off, then turn it back on again. It loses all power when I turn it off. My specs are as follows: Asus Maximus VIII Hero motherboard Intel i7 6700K 32 GB DDR4 2133 memory, 4 x 8GB GTX 1080 Founders Edition EVGA 750W Platinum Power Supply Corsair H110i CPU Cooler Samsung 250 GB SSD (Boot) WD Blue 1 TB HDD (Mass Storage) Windows 10 (64 bit) Another side note which may be helpful: When it freezes on boot, it gets stuck on the "A2" Q-Code. According to the user manual, this means "IDE Detect." As far as I can tell nothing too bad is happening, it's just annoying to have to keep changing the LED color. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance! Danny.
  4. Will I need an amp? I have the Maximus VIII hero with no extra sound card.
  5. So, recently I built a PC, and got some decent headphones to go with it. The problem is, I build everything in the same room as my PC, and while I don't mind using my phone with my headphones, I would rather have a speaker system driven by my computer. I have my computer on while I work anyways, for 3D models and stuff. I also game on my computer in my leisure time. So, my question is, are there any good speaker systems, preferably with a subwoofer, that I can get for under around $120? I am looking for really good quality sound with a good base. Thanks in advance, ~Danny
