  1. I have a PC-08 in my main rig, cant go wrong with Lian Li ha! I would have had the same if it wasnt for space restraints ha
  2. I dont think theres a 1070 which fits unfortunately, that 1060 is the Zotac mini version, id happily go for a 1070 if theres one which fits I only have 280mm of space, and most cards arre 290mm+ that i have found If anyone has any ideas that would be great The Node 605 is a really small case
  3. HTPC/Light gaming from the sofa PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor (£210.00 @ Amazon UK) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65 33.8 CFM CPU Cooler (£34.99 @ Amazon UK) Motherboard: Asus Z170I PRO GAMING Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard (£134.99 @ Ebuyer) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory (£69.32 @ More Computers) Storage: Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£75.98 @ Novatech) Storage: Western Digital Red 1TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (£52.99 @ Amazon UK) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Mini Video Card (£231.99 @ Ebuyer) Case: Fractal Design Node 605 HTPC Case (£116.64 @ Amazon UK) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£77.99 @ Overclockers.co.uk) Total: £1004.89 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-08-15 21:40 BST+0100
  5. Due to the size of the case i dont think i could fit any in it, isnt room for a rad anywhere, case is tiny
  6. Im building another PC to be used in a living room for the usual HTPC stuff, and some light gaming I dont need alot of storage so 1TB and the SSD is ample I want to be able to play some light games, Civ 5, 6 when released etc, and maybe things like GTA V etc, will be playing on a 1080p TV This is what ive come up with so far http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/xGdfPs An suggestions etc would be welcomed I already have a super powerful PC (can be seen in my profile) for more demanding games etc, this will only be used for casual games and media
  7. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated
  8. Great thanks! How was cable management? Ill be going with 1 SSD and 1 HDD, probably a noctua air cooler on the CPU, maybe 1060/1070, EVGA PSU, still yet to choose final build just doing some research I know all about fingerprints though, just built this a month ago, aluminum and tempered glass is a nightmare ha http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/NNf8TW#cx1885636
  9. Im not gonna be installing an optical drive so should be ok What GFX card did you have in the Node, was it spacious enough for the new 1060/70s?
  10. Im not sure what case to go with yet, trying to figure that out, then i can decide on the card depending on the space etc Any thoughts on cases?
  11. Hey im looking for a case to act as a HTPC and for light gaming - stuff like Civ 5 etc It will be in a living room Im thinking maybe to go with the Fractal Node 605, using an ATX board and maybe a 970, or 1060/70 card Any tips/advise or other suggetions - thanks!
  12. Ill just have to keep my trousers on, damn leather chair hahaha
  13. Same happens in my room, and its not small at all, its a large bedroom. I just open the window and it fixes it Im running 2x 1080's and a 6700k (liquid cooled) Soon to be full custom loop I end up sweating when gaming, not great on a leather chair haha
  14. Just wondering if anyone has liquid cooled a Lian Li PC-08 with a full custom loop, including 2 GFX cards in SLI Ive been looking for examples online where to position the tank, but they all seem to only have 1 small gfx card Im running GTX 1080s in SLI, which are obviously quite big, im thinking of either floor standing the tank in the front if i can fit a tall thin tank or at the back in the hard drive cage as i only use 2 small SSDs, located on the TOP and BOTTOM of the cage, the cage being completely empty inside Any thoughts would be helpful Thanks
  15. It's a really powerful ecig, could this do any damage to components of this is what's causing it The clouds it produces are really big and thick so I'm leaning towards that being the issue, it does look sort of greasy
  16. But it gets like this without being touched I do smoke an e-cig, I'm wondering if that would get in and cause it?
  17. Nope I'm in the UK. It's sort of like a dirty iPad or phone screen, it's hard to explain
  18. It may not be actual condensation, just looks like it, if you imagine a dirty iPad screen, it's like that, hard to explain really
  19. Only a Corsair H100i V2 CPU cooler, closed all in one cooler!
  20. Does anyone use any of the Lian Li cases with tempered glass? Especially the PC-08 In only a matter of days the inside almost steams up, like condensation, and looks absolutely filthy I use screen wipes to clean it regularly Anyone else have this issue? Are there any ways to stop it happening? Temps aren't high, I have a nice positive air flow.. I'm out of ideas ? Thanks
  21. Not quite sure what you mean? Do you mean the light may still shine through the red paint? I dont mind the light being blocked completely
  22. I have a black and red theme and have recently got the new NVIDIA HB SLI BRIDGE, picture below. It has a bright green light which doesnt match at all, and im thinking of painting over it black and red Any advice would be appreciated, maybe black over the green light and the red ovr the silver parts? What paint would be best to use (to completely covered the bright green light) and the red over the silver Im in the UK (not sure if we have access to some of the US paints) Thanks
  23. Looks perfect thank you, arrives tomorrow and ill try it out!!
  24. I have a Lian Li PC-08 as you can see in my avatar theres a massive blue case LED, can i disable this, would it affect anything, if not, how would i do it? I have a red theme and its driving me insane! Thanks
