  1. No problem! Happy to help!
  2. Go with the optical version. They track better, have adjustable DPI, and don't have any janky acceleration issues. Plus it would be the most similar to what you had in the g502.
  3. I have found that Ghost Recon Wildlands is a good mark to hit in terms of something that is demanding, but popular.
  4. Yeah, they are consumers, but not AVERAGE consumers. These people buy up cards to run them into the ground not to use them and become a return customer.
  5. Yeah, we are in a famine of epyc proportions right now. (see what I did there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) All of the AMD cards, which have arguably better price to perf. are being bought up and used by crypto-currency miners. The $220 RX 480 is now $500 on eBay.
  6. This kind of strange layout is common in a lot of older consoles. The PS2's sound synth was connected through the northbridge, rather than through the GPU or CPU. Crazy configurations in consoles is going the way of the dodo though. The Xbox One and PS4 are basically AMD APU PCs running custom software and a custom chipset.
  7. I have a friend who can run GR Wildlands on that CPU, but in terms of the GPU, I totally agree.
  8. You would be able to play some AAA titles at moderate settings with this system. Try making a parts list of those same components with pcpartpicker.com and see if the price comes out similarly. If it does, then try to talk the guy down from his price. Other than that, try r/hardwareswap. You can sometimes find good deals on PCs and components there. Good Luck!
  9. There is really no way to do this. The CPU on the 360 is of a strange proprietary architecture. There are ways of running Linux on older model 360s. Link: http://free60.org/wiki/Main_Page Free sixty seems like a good next step if you are really interested in doing something that takes your xbox closer to a PC. Good Luck!
  10. I live in the great state of Wisconsin, but thanks for the offer. The SSC cards have no backplates, its to my understanding that the SSC cards were a bestbuy exclusive, as explained here:
  11. You are one of the lucky ones. I have searched through all realms of the internet and I haven't found one for purchase. Plus I believe that I'm kind of crafty and I'd like to try making a backplate for myself.
  12. At this point it's not thermal concerns that I'm worried about, nor is board flex. I'm looking into a backplate because I have a case with a sidepanel window and I like to show off my build. I have a nice looking cooler, motherboard, and sleeved extensions, so hiding the build really isn't an option to me.
  13. Alright, so I bought a GTX 970 SSC off of EVGA surplus around thanksgiving of last year. The card works just fine, that's not why i'm here, thanks for asking. The only problem is that the card looks like ass and I need a backplate for it. Since 970 SSC backplates are more rare than Jimmy Hoffa's corpse, I am planning upon making one. That's where you come in. Could someone link me to a page that has the length and with dimensions of the card, I'm having trouble finding that online. I would measure the card, but I cant really get the card out because I am basically rendering video constantly and down time would be the worst thing right now. I plan upon 3D printing it, so I'd need the dimensions before I take it out to install the backplate, which is why I can't do it all at once. All help is appreciated! Please Help!
  14. Lately I've been strongly considering building a mineral oil cooled PC and I was wondering if it is safe to submerge my H110i in oil and mount the radiator off of the side of the tank. Thoughts?
