  1. Would get for 8K use as a monitor, if it has HDMI 2.1 VRR. For that, there is a good use case, some people don't play games.
  2. No there isn't, I was hoping to utilise the power of the iGPU like how you can for intel quicksync.
  3. I need some technical help. I have an i7 8700k and an R9 290. The (iGPU) CPU is more than capable of decoding HEVC/VP9 such as 4k youtube, however because I have the R9 290 as my dedicated GPU, youtube 4k and 8k playback is quite choppy. I know this should be possible, but can I use my iGPU (intel UHD 630) to do the youtube/edge decoding. I am currently using both the UHD 630 and R9 290 together as GPU 0 and GPU 1, but GPU 0 (UHD 630) never gets used and all the decoding is done on the CPU which cannot handle the load. Thank you very much. I hope there is a solution as it would save me from buying a new GPU just to enjoy 4K youtube The R9 290 is more than fine for me as I don't game often I dont want to buy a GT 1030, GTX 1050 or anything else
  4. I need help. I have had this 40" 4K monitor for 2 years now and it has been perfectly working at 4K 60hz via displayport. Yesterday I tried to connect my laptop with USB C to the monitor via a USB C to displayport adapter. When I connected the cable, the laptop screen flashed many times and momentarily the 4k monitor did 4k 60hz. But after a restart I was never able to get an image on the monitor via my laptop via displayport. Anyway I thought it wasn't that bad because I didn't really need 4k 60hz from my laptop. But the messed up thing now is, when I connected my PC via displayport, the recommendation resolution became 2048 x 1080. And ive since tried everything to get it working at 4K. The max I can do is 4K 60hz now. Even by disconnecting all the cables, power on/off, replacing the dp cables, changing from dp 1.1 to 1.2 on the osd. Nothing works. Even resetting the monitor. Could the cable have destroyed the monitor? And what can I do to get 4K 60hz. I need help plez.
