oh did not see that you asked about what a DAC does, I say it in the topic, but I can just say it again.

DAC stands for digital to analog converter, this means that it takes the digital signal that the music is and makes it analog so the speakers or headphones can play it.

Sound is analog and everything inside your PC is digital, so to make the digital sound file to sound you would need a DAC.

All motherboards that has onboard sound has a DAC.

    I hope this helped

DaisyCarnival got a reaction from AluxPlays in Massdrop x AKG K7XX ? Do they fit my needs ?
    Hey Guys.
For a long time i was set on purchasing a pair of ATH-M50X headphones for my first high-end and overall premium experience setup.
I've seen many reviews on those headphones celebrating them and congratulating those who bought them so i was extremely sure they would fit my needs to any extent possible. my high-end new setup will allow me to game with maximum graphics and an overall beautiful experience, i also am addicted to electronic music (Trap,Progressive House etc.) so i was definitely excited to get one of those over-ear premium headphones.
But for the last 1-2 months i've been getting many bad reviews on them and so many people have told me to go open-back over-ear that i couldn't get the M50X and had to consider a different headset for myself.
Many people recommended the Massdrop AKG K7XX headphones because of how comfortable they are (long use), Soundstage (Gaming - Movies) and decent Bass (EDM) but some people say they are definitely not be used for electronic music and streaming and more for some 5.1 gaming and clean accurate mixing-mastering.
My question is are AKG K7XX compatible and sound good with electronic music ? and are they also good with my other uses (Gaming,Movies,Streaming,Comfort) ?

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions.

That is 100% BS, I can run the DT 770 with no problem off my phone, I can run harder to drive headphones of my phone and they will give the 100%

I would like to know who told you that, because that person does not have a lot experiance then, sure the audio quality might go up a little, but for the money you are paying you might aswel put that money on top of the headphone budget, that way you get a bigger jump in audio quality.

If you end up needing a amp and DAC or just a amp, you can just look at the recommendations I have made in the pinned post. The schiit stack (modi ang magni) is always a good option.

He is a idiot when it comes to sound, he thinks that Ohm matters kek.

Well all I am saying is that if you can power them then it would not be worth getting a amp.

    i7-6800k and 6850k have 6 cores 12 threads thus 55 mins

I think this is my estimate on the same cpu frequencys. My calculation has counted for IPC

@DeezNoNosOMG if what you're saying is accurate then i really didn't have anything to worry about....
i was thinking the estimate will be more in the
    i7 6700k - 5-6 hours
    i7 6800k - 3 hours
    i7 6850k - 2 hours
    i7 5960x - 40 mins - 1 hour
    i7 6950x - 20 mins

I don't know where i farted that estimate from but that was what i had in mind, if the difference is only 30 minutes and the price of the i7 6900k and i7 5960x is like 4x more then the i7 6700k then i will never buy that those kind of of cpus....
maybe in the future il buy a 6-8 core cpu when this one will be dead (3--5 years)  but only if their price point drops to the same price tag of the i7 6700k...
I see people asking about those cpus for just gaming and i freak out thinking "Why was i not born rich af af" lmao.

Well thanks a lot man you saved me a lot of headaches and searching, would thank you with a bj but im straight

2 "1080tis" is fine on a 750W PSU so chill out with the nearly 300 dollar PSU... An EVGA 750W G2 is way more than enough. You can get red and black cables for it and take the stickers off. You can also, if red and black in every way is just a must, get an AX860i and still be WAY more than fine.

Everything else is fine but the motherboard, as is always with the Maximus series, way overkill.

The Pro 900 has wireless Qi charging on top which is an immediate sell for me.

I'd say that while the modularity of the Dark Base Pro 900 is nice, it's really not a must and I really can't think of many practical applications. The price of the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv is much lower, and (personally) I think that it looks a hell of a lot nicer than the Dark Base Pro 900. Honestly, Qi charging doesn't seem like a reason to part with $100, and unless you have or plan to get a Qi-enabled device, it's completely useless.

Yeah, I just think that even with those gripes of the curves, the Phanteks is just a much better-looking case. I mean, if you really want wireless charging, here: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Fast-Charge-Wireless-Charging/dp/B012AWBN9C?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&linkId=748484a014efb5c268cf6477bdfae9ab&ref_=as_li_ss_tl&tag=digitren08-in-cont-20. I just saved you $50. Honestly, the Qi charger on the Dark Base Pro 900 is probably actually worse than the one I linked above, if you think about it. Be quiet! was trying to make a computer case, not a Qi charger. The charger was most likely an afterthought, while Samsung was entirely focused on creating a Qi charger in the one I linked. They most likely made a better and higher-quality product.

Lol, most people wildly overestimate how much power PCs use. Technology these days is very efficient and a 1200W PSU could power around 7 GTX 1070s with a 5960X so it's just ridiculous to buy a 1200W for two GPUs. And yes, the 860i will be plenty with watercooling parts.

If that board saves you money then go for it.

thanks so much man, i would have felt so goddamn amateur (even if i am) and stupid if i bought the 1200W PSU ><
