  1. Hi everyone, I borrowed a gtx 1080 ti from a friend and because the pandemic I am in a friend's house and he has a i7 870 (yes the first generation) and he got a new power supply so I wanted to see what bottleneck really looks like. So when I did some benchmarks I saw lots of artifacts and because I can't verify if the card is faulty with my test bench I started to think if the bottleneck is so severe that the card creates artifacts. Any ideas? Thanks.
  2. Hi everyone, I need your help. My problem is that none of the usb ports on my mb are getting power but they are not working. I tried everything that I can think of. First of all I cleared the cmos not working. Second I removed the battery for 5 hours and tried no luck. Third I flashed the bios with the latest version via the internet flash option of the mb because the usb ports are not working still no luck. After I plugged an external usb and card reader that I have to the mb usb headers still not working. So with no usb ports I can not boot to windows. The last thing that I want to try is to boot to windows to see if that can solve the problem ( I really doubt it) but because of the corona virus I am unable to grab a hdd already with windows to try it. I know that maybe the mb is faulty but if there is something that I can try to do please let me know. Thank you in advance. Cpu: i3 7100 MB: ASROCK H110M - DVP RAM: HYPERX 4 GB DDR4
  3. I tried but as soon as the post is complete the pc is not responding and I can not do anything.
  4. The owner is not tech savvy so he does not know anything about the system and the IT guy that made the system moved out of the country
  5. Hi guys, I know that only you can help me. My friend had crypto currency mining farms and yesterday he told me that he can give me 2 gpu's that were mine for 9 months 24/7. I know that it is not a good idea to use mining gpu's but if they are free it's ok i guess. Now for the problem. I use a 1050ti as a daily driver with i7 7700 cpu. My friend just gave me an asus strix 1070 and an asus strix 1080 ti (he is pretty generous). I do not know about mining and don not know if they did something custom like bios to the cards. When I install them on my system I can see the post screen and I can enter to bios with no problem. But when the system tries to boot to windows my screen goes dark and the monitor says no video feed and the hdd activity led stops blinking. When I put my 1050 ti everything goes to normal. I tried them on a different computer and still i had the same problem. Is it possible that they flashed a custom bios or they did something to the cards for mining? Sorry for my bad English. Thank you guys.
  6. when you say a bit of bottlenecking it is really a bit or it will be a serious one?
  7. Hi everyone, I need your help because I am not sure if gtx 1060 or rx 480 are compatible with my pc because its quite old. So my specs are: MSI H55-P31 motherboard, i7 870, currently a crappy PSU but I will buy a seasonic 650 W gold PSU, Sandisk Ultra II 240 gb SSD, WD 1 tb HDD. So are my parts especially my motherboard compatible with these graphic cards? Thank you.
