Wtalk2 got a reaction from da na in Experiences with non-techies
The computers at my school are Pentium 4's at 2.6GHz and 512MB of RAM. Start-up takes about 15 minutes (My class tested) and using anything other than Microsoft Office 97 is nearly impossible. Plus I tried a speed test before school started and I got 1Mbps download and 256Kbps upload. Megabit not Megabyte I am classified as gifted and I am in the P.A.C.E program and this is the "technology" they provide for us

Wtalk2 got a reaction from DeltaGames in How to transfer data from hdd to ssd.
Samsung has very data migration software. Just have both drives plugged in to the computer at the same time, boot from your HDD, run Samsungs cloning software and it will clone your entire operating system to the SSD, the  just pull the HDD out of the system and set the primary boot device to the SSD. It is a very easy process

PS: I just recently upgraded to that SSD and I LOVE it Transfering my OS was very easy and fast aswell.

Not sure if you can do all that, even with Cyanogenmod. I'm running Cyanogenmod on my phone right now and I have wake on notification and no breathing but also no wake on shake. Maybe check out the XDA Forums to see if anyone has fixed your issue in the past?

why not use chrome developer mode (chrome F12) to debug? It's the most reasonable way to debug websites and webapps imo.

All programs run from and must access RAM. From where else would it run and what else would it access?
And don't say caches, caches are part of the memory hierarchy used to hide the latency of RAM and are implemented in hardware and don't care what language you write in. Also writing cache aware code can be done in any language (ie take advantage of spatial and temporal locality etc..)

Not gonna get involved in the rest of the discussion, everyone has a preferred language and they have different usage areas.

It would be kind of pathetic if their newest flagship that isn't even on sale yet didn't beat cards from a year ago...

This reminds me of Apple every year saying "it's our best iPhone yet!" Yeah, I would hope so... that's the bare minimum expectation, not something to be impressed about.

where are you located? my buddy in Australia has the same issues, his ISP blocks access to the ubuntu servers. I have no clue why, but they do. I ended up giving him VPN access to my network and now he'll connect when he needs to fetch updates.

It wants you to do it like that because if 3.14 was a variable you wouldn't be able to just add quotes around it. The proper way to do it if you have a literal number like that would be to just put it inside the rest of the string.
print "The value of pi is around 3.14"
The trick to doing code academy is hitting the little x on the tab and finding a better place to learn, preferably a place that teaches Python 3.

That'd still bottleneck any card above an R9 280X/285/380X, just as an FYI. what's the total amount they are willing to spend again? We can then help you get a gaming rig that is well balanced and will have the parts capable of operating at their full potential.

It's lightweight and can run on nearly any hardware, relatively secure, a lot less creepy spy stuff, highly customizable and free. Different strokes for different folks; if you don't like it, nobody is forcing you to use it.

Wtalk2 reacted to FullTank1337 in Why does everyone love Linux so much?
I prefer Linux any day of the week. It's faster, lighter, more reliable, easier to install/reinstall, more stable, and most importantly, more secure than Windows. It's also better for developers, but lol Bash on Windows.
I literally just have Windows for gaming. Everything else I do on PC, I do in Linux, and 9 times out of 10, Linux does it better. Same goes for gaming, but not many games are made for Linux natively, and most of the ones that are, are small indie games.
