If you are going to college as a CS major, chances are  you'll most likely encounter the following languages:
Java C/C++ Fortran (yes they still use this, but it's mostly for introductory courses) C# (maybe) MATLAB (not really a programming language, but it's used a lot in CS fields) They might have Python courses, but a lot of the formal classes I've seen use those languages. If you're trying to get a handle on programming, Python will be easier to use to get a handle on the basic concepts. However, I also recommend a language with easy debugging support. On Windows at least, you can use VisualStudio to develop and debug with C, C++, and C#, which can help a lot with understanding the guts of a program.

Congratulations, LinusTechTips team! Three-million is quite the achievement, and definitely, thank you to Razer for supporting this giveaway.

As for a choice of a device to win, it would be the Razer Blade 14 for me. A screen with 1080p suits me well and activities such as video editing, photo editing, and flight simulation (extremely CPU intensive) wouldn't really make sense on a 4K monitor, sapping away precious resources...

I decided to see how fast this contest is growing; in a simple minute to compare how many new replies/entries were formed, there was a whopping nine (9) within a minute... within the same minute were eleven (11) new registrations.

This isn't going to be very valid math because there isn't really a way to measure accurate data, but just for the love of mathematics, why not?

If we set a trend of an average of five (5) entries and six (6) registrations per minute to account for low times (this is linear; can't pull enough accurate data to make a fancy logarithmic , which is what I think this is, or maybe even exponential growth), that means approximately 45600 entries and 54720 new members. However, most new members will probably be just here for the contest, so average the two (2), 50160 new entries. There will probably be about 107368 entries by the end of this if this is a linear growth based upon that single minute I surveyed, which of course, is inaccurate.

The night before I recall the total 1500 entries. Estimate today is going to be 430 new entries if we do a little rounding from the rates above. Let's make this quadratic (unfortunately my calculator does not accept the lack of data I gave it to create an accurate representation) to the best I can... (0,0) (1,1500) (2,57638).

This is an unfortunately inaccurate graph, but best I could do with data found calculation.

This quadratic yields 1665967.1428571 entries, or 1665967 rounded total.

nCr(2,1665967) ~ 0.00000000000005, so 0.000000000005% chance of winning if my calculations are right, but I highly doubt they are... oh well, math is fun.  If only I had more time and better methods to legitimately survey data and remembered how to use my calculator.

Good luck to everyone, and congratulations to the LinusTechTips team on such an amazing milestone!
