  1. I've recently installed my new RX 5700 (non XT) into my Ryzen 1st gen based system, and I've been getting crashes in games ever since. The event ID is 4101 and it happens consistently with Witcher 3 and GTA5. Ever since installing the card I have: Updated any and all drivers Ensured that I have latest BIOS increased the page file size Adjusted the registry value that allows your GPU more time to catch up before drivers being reset "Reset" the computer Run sfc /scannow to find that there was registry corruption which led to me resetting the computer Basically I am hoping for links to potential fixes, I am willing to try anything and would really appreciate the help! *Perhaps related, unsure* About two months ago my RX480 died on me which required me to upgrade to a 5700 (difficult decision I know). After the abrupt crash of my system before my RX480 died, the computer refused to boot and my motherboard (MSI Mortar Arctic B350) was telling me that it was the GPU. I tried plugging the GPU into a friend of mine's computer and it refused to display from there as well, tried multiple PCIe slots, and moved/removed the RAM in case that was the issue. Nothing fixed the 480 and the system refused to boot with it installed despite the fans spinning and logo illuminating
  2. I've recently updated my Ryzen 1700 system, and an issue that had been occuring in the past is now popping up again after I: Updated Windows to 1903 Updated radeon drivers to 19.7.1 Updated chipset to 1.07.07.0725 Updated BIOS to 7A37vAI (MSI Mortar Arctic b350) The issues are high latency and latency spikes which translate to perceptible stutter and lag. I've replaced many components over the last year and sent in my ryzen 1600 and got a replacement upgrade to a 1700 because of a lack of stock at the time. Since then I haven't really had any issues other than stutters if i leave the system on overnight while I watch YouTube videos to go to sleep. Just a quick system restart used to fix them them however. Anyone having similar issues? Why would the problems leave after a CPU upgrade and then come back after some core driver/bios updates? In the past when these issues were present I tried everything from removing overclocks, updating everything I could, reinstalling windows, to even RMAing the motherboard, powersupply, and CPU. I've also disabled/enabled HPET and lowered SOC voltage. Do you think you can help me point to a specific component that's acting up perhaps? Is there something I simply need to update/install that I haven't yet? ANYTHING is appreciated. I have a hunch that my RAM is to blame but I don't want to start spending money and throwing darts at the wall if I can simply fix this issue another way.
  3. That is actually such a nice looking build I have to say, thanks for finding it. Yea I saw that its only officially 240mm, but after measuring I found that theoretically it could fit a 280mm rad just fine, it also has holes in the front for two 140mm fans so if the rad isn't much bigger than the fans it should work. I decided to pull the trigger and buy it, and it fits fine I just needed to move the power switch/front USB and Audio to the front/top orientation that the case allows. Kind if a hassle as I needed to unplug everything before I could move it but it was worth it and its cool that this little case can even do that for how cheap it is. I'm waiting on the correct bracket before I fully install it and I'll try to get some pictures taken.
  4. Yea I'd like to reach 4.0Ghz is all and say that I have water cooling. I also plan on upgrading eventually and I can use the water cooler with whatever I upgrade to.
  5. Yea someone is selling a used one in my area and I'd like it to be able to overclock my Ryzen 1700. He's selling it for $70 and I'm gonna offer him $60 if it's something I can even use.
  6. I have someone in my area selling a used H115i 280mm for a decent price and my case specs say that it only supports a 240mm radiator. I've done some measurements and they seem to stack up: 165.1mm X 330.2mm X 38.1mm approx. with a little bit of added wiggle room VS the dimensions of the radiator 140mm x 312mm x 26mm I don't know if that's with the 140mm fans installed or not. It's going to be a tight fit regardless but I was wondering if anyone tried it already or knows someone who has. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot.
  7. I'm thinking I'll just do the same. I just fiddled with Linux today actually, it ended up messing with my Windows install despite the partitions I set aside for it so I removed it or else I would have ran that.
  8. Ah so you do seem to be having the same issue as I am! It's been a while but since I'm still having this issue I figured I would stop by to see if anyone has commented.
  9. I found the forum i talked about earlier, I don't know if you have the same motherboard but it may not be a motherboard specific issue to begin with (that is if you are indeed having the same latency issues and I suspect you are) https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=299233.0
  10. I would run a mem check before replacing the RAM. I changed my mobo as well from an Asrock AB350m Pro4 to an MSI 350M Mortar Arctic. I sent my old PSU in for RMA as it was still within its warranty. I found a thread on MSI's forums that talked about this being an issue between audio drivers, latencymon reports this as one of the issues (HDAudBus.sys) as well as storport.sys. I'm interested to see if you have a similar report. I can almost always get the issue to occur when I start Aida64.
  11. Same here for the most part, some programs seem to set it off though.
  12. @iqr Kinda sorta. My computer stutters for a shorter period of time, and instead of the audio cutting out its a rather loud "zzzt" sorta sound. Are you getting latency issues as well?
  13. I've been troubleshooting an issue I've been having with my fairly new Ryzen computer build for a while. I tend to get very annoying and quite jarring audio/video stutters due to what I have tracked down as probably a driver issue of some sort via LatencyMon. I have the latest bios as well as any new drivers I can get, reseated everything, ran memtest with no issues, stress tested the system, using the Ryzen power plan, replaced the motherboard and PSU, attempted to fix any unusual reports in eventviewer, and reinstalled Windows 10 multiple times with the latest updates. I've attached a text document with the stats from LatencyMon. If you could help me out you would be an absolute life saver, this has been a pretty long drawn out troubleshooting process over the course of nearly half a year, and I think its time I simply ask for help. 14. Feeling quite frustrated with my computer at the moment. Hoping after my RMA'ing my PSU and motherboard it will feel like the new system it's supposed to be.

  15. Recently got my replacement monitor and been enjoying it for a few days now until I noticed some rather annoying screen flickering. It only seems to happen during video playback or gaming (most notably League of Legends). I've tried lowering the refresh rate but it didn't seem to change much, and I didn't purchase a 144hz 1440p monitor to use it as anything less. Just curious if others have had any similar issues or know anything about this. I believe the video drivers I am currently using are 17.10.2.
