  1. Hi, so I've been suffering from the expensive electricity bills for the last few months. As the title says, I currently own a Design Studio in which real-time and fast file sharing is a need. I also do mining in which (I'm sure) 50% of the electricity bills came from. I've been running the NAS like this for the last few months: No troubles or problems has come up yet. But this way I couldn't turn off my main PC because not everyone has the same work hours and there will always be someone working. I'm sure while it doesn't only shorten the lifespan of my main PC, it also does increase the electricity cost. While I've been searching and looking up around, I think setting up the NAS on one of my Miners would be a great idea. Are there any Windows-based NAS software out there? Any that you guys recommend? The reason I do not want to put it up on the Miners and let it remote sharing is because everyone could see what I could see. If it's on my main PC, I could share selected drives so people could only see what I allow them to see.
  2. Hi, sorry for the late reply. The pump has failed and when I replaced the pump it leaks because of some mechanism that I don't know. I do not encourage to buy them, but if you are still going to get one, then it is totally up to you to decide.
  3. I do use Corsair's keyboard and Razer's mouse (what a coincidence) and both does offer full control over their program through the SDK. I'm looking to dive in to ASUS AURA's SDK. Will update more later.
  4. I don't want to say it, buy yes it does indeed sucks. Still looking for some more info though, in case someone have a good news about it. EDIT: It seems that ASUS released their AURA SDK, which allows programmer to program how the AURA works or somewhat.. Gotta look on that.
  5. Hi guys, so I usually use two to three audio outputs like this: 1. HK Onyx Studio (for ambient music, i hate silence) 2. Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO (for video production, gaming, calls or whatsoever) + ModMic 4 3. Custom 7.1 Speakers (for surround audio production) And then I use the Maximus IX FORMULA which does have 2 RGB Headers which I extend to the outside of the case and run 2M long LED stripes across my desk. On Windows 10, I always set my default audio to the 2nd choice (look above) due to I don't want anything to interrupt my music or work (1st and 3rd choice). And that way, the ASUS AURA Music Mode only take in the 2nd choice. For example: When I play music through the 1st choice, the LED is off. When I work on the 3rd choice, the LED is off. When I do gaming or whatsoever on the 2nd choice, the LED does sync with the beat. What I want is: The LED does sync only with the 1st choice without me setting the Windows 10 default audio to the 1st choice. Is it possible? Or is that a limitation to the ASUS AURA program? There is a few reason I do not want to set the 1st choice as my default: - Some of my games (take into account the currently on-fire PlayerUnknown's BattleGround) doesn't support selecting audio output devices. So they will always go out to the default audio. - I don't want sudden calls or notification to take over the lovely music in background. Oh, another thing: If anyone have something to make ASUS AURA Music Mode to stay with my preferred color options that would be great, as I don't like it changing through the color wheel.
  6. Cool, since they listed that to supports up to 4K in god knows what refresh rate, they should works perfectly fine with a 2.5K resolution shouldn't they? And just a suggestion (maybe Out of Topic tho) : Please put the "Notes" section above the "Comments on Active and Passive" since I definitely missed the "Notes" part due to my unwillingness to read those "Comments on Active and Passive".
  7. What do you mean with could support or not support anything? It kinda spooks me.
  8. Wait a minute. Wait. Quoting from the pinned thread: And quoting from the Amber DPH-14 (which is the expensive active DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that I first bought and doesn't work that I have to return it and get another one and still doesn't work) : This, should be a Type 2 Active adapter isn't it? (or at the very least Type 2 Passive adapter?) The fact that it doesn't work maybe because of something else, or out of pure bad luck: I received two defunct products. I will try to re-return this product again. EDIT: And following up from your previous answer, the inexpensive passive adapter was listed as "active" and the seller didn't even mentioned about it's maximum resolution. It does works, it shows up but it is limited to 1080p @50Hz. How dumb I am for not asking it's maximum resolution. I am sure it is just a generic chinese Type 1 passive adapter.
  9. I couldn't find that specific adapters here in my country but I ordered that off amazon and it might take more than a week to arrive. In the meantime I am also buying this http://www.aten.com/us/en/products/professional-audiovideo/converters/vc986/#.WZrbMSgjEkk and a generic active adapter (which they claimed supports up to 4K and AMD Eyefinity). These 2 adapters will arrive by tomorrow and I will give an update later. If these 2 adapters doesn't work then I will have to wait until that adapter you suggested to arrive. And also, a quick update: I noticed that the DVI to HDMI does work, without the nvidia drivers. When I installed the nvidia drivers it simply doesn't want to detect that monitor. Either the card is faulty or the driver is buggy or I don't know what.
  10. Since I have 3 25UM58P which only supports HDMI2.0 at its best and my GTX1070 only have 1 HDMI output, (2 at its best since it's an SLI) and so I resort to this: I have tried using DP to HDMI and no, most people say those DP to HDMI adapter will only allow 1920x1080 at most even if I buy the "4K" version. I didn't care about what people say and ordered one. The first one is an expensive active adapter. Didn't work. No signal at all. Tried on 3 different monitors. The second one is a less expensive passive adapter. Does work. But the max resolution is 1920x1080 @50Hz even though they are rated for 4K. I returned both and still same issue. I take DP to HDMI is a no no for these ultrawide. Then I tried DVI to HDMI since they are really really cheap. I don't want to wait to see if it is a defunct if it doesn't work so I bought 10 of them, yes 10. I tried all of them on 3 different monitors, yes 30 tries and all of them fails. All of them only shows up with "No signal. Please check your connection." Anyone could help me with this? I even swapped out the GPU with a RX580 and still to no avail. EDIT: The cables used are LG's factory cable which is I'm sure rated for HDMI 2.0 and the H8 HDMI 2.0 which I've tried and does work on a 4K display.
  11. I bought 3 of them, and I find three of them all have different color (the white is off and stuff) I have tried resetting them to factory settings and make sure their color correction is set to the same but to no avail. Anyone ever had this kind of issue?
  12. I am doing a 3 monitor setup, all 3 monitors only support HDMI 2.0 and therefore I need DP1.4 to HDMI 2.0 for the other 2 monitors. By the way, I bought this as this is available to be shipped in 1 hour and after receiving it: I found it to be not working? Both of them only makes the monitors show up with "No Signal". Tested both monitor to HDMI 2.0 on the GTX1070 directly and it works flawlessly. https://www.tokopedia.com/fitrahadi1/amber-dph-14-adapter-display-port-to-hdmi-4k-active
  13. South East Asia, Indonesia to be exact.
  14. Output from GTX1070 is a DP1.4 while my display only supports HDMI 2.0 Furthermore, I do not live in the US so I don't know if what is available to you will be available for me to buy.
  15. Guys, from what I read from the pinned post, in order to convert DP to HDMI2.0 I need to use an active adapter. Do you guys have any recommendations?
  16. That, my friend, is a great option. Unfortunately, here in my country it does cost 1500USD. I do not live in the US and getting items from US is somewhat hard. By the way, yesterday I picked up another 25UM58P, so yeah now I have 3 of them!
  17. Any recommendations? Edit: Kinda in a tight budget, but sure go ahead and suggests me!
  18. Ahh. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll go get those monitors first and try them out. Ah, that makes sense. Sorry I didn't see this post earlier.
  19. Even if the pixel count is the exact same amount as "4K", but I am using nvidia surround? Which I think still kinda not-so-good looking without AA. Correct me if I'm wrong
  20. Thanks for the quick reply! Okay then, so around medium should be just fine right? How about a 1080Ti? I might sell this card and get 1080Ti. Ayy, captain.
  21. Hi, so I am planning to do nvidia surround using three of these 29UM58-P. While each does offer 2560x1080 which translates into 7680x1080, will the GTX1070 able to drive the whole game smoothly on High+? Take for example most AAA titles. The Witcher 3, Mirrors Edge 2, Watch Dogs 2, Tekken 7 etc Rest system specs:
  22. Hi guys, previously I've been using IPS+OLED display for a few years now and I've been loving it. I was using two LG29UM58-P and gaming isn't so great with it. I can only utilize one for gaming due to not having a mid display. I am looking to replace them. Here are my criteria: Good luck guys finding monitor within those criteria!
  23. The Load Balancing was done via hardware, not software. It is done by the TL-R470T+ The good thing is, replacing the Proxy with a VPN that supports UDP does solve the Steam problem. I used a VPN server that is connected directly to IIX and boom, the Steam download speed is now over 50MBps. While it does add a few hops and latency, it is great enough as it is.
  24. Hi and thanks for answering. I am using the Load Balancer in order to combine all 3 ISPs connection to achieve maximum speed, as told by Linus himself in one of his video. (I believe it was the Double your internet speed something) Everything is set and I am sure the Load Balancer is balancing all 3 WAN ports. As of now anyway, the Steam server itself could reach up to 600KBps already, what makes it able to is still unknown. About the tracert itself I haven't done anything since. But I'll try to do it later.
