The other advantage of Ryzen is the ability to use PCIe ssd. Add a m.2 drive to the mix and you'll get massive improvements in scrubbing and the editing process itself.

So in the end it's not the cpu directly, but the features it offers.

It doesnt has the double the cores, FX 6300 has 6, Ryzen 7 1700 has 8, but they are way better cores, and with HT.

Yup, unless the cpu eats 200+ watts which isn't the case so it's fine.
I know you are worried and that's a good thing, but you don't have to.

The psu is a good one, the rx 480 doesn't need that much power and even an overclocked 6300 doesn't need a huge amount of power.

Well it's a decent PSU so what would happen is the over-current protection would kick in. Or over-drawn, can't remember which one exactly. Let's stick with a safety feature just to keep it simple.

What this means is the PSU instantly shuts off to avoid damage. But there is no permanent damage.
It's like pulling the plug out of the PSU.

If this does happen you will need to pull the plug from the PSU, wait a few minutes, plug it back in and it should work again.
Once the safety feature is activated it will only turn off again when the PSU is unplugged for a while.

It's possible you will hear a click when it shuts off, to keep it simple that's the emergency switch being turned on.

You are absolutely right.  mSATA and mPCIe are not compatible, but their slots and connections look the same.  Does the BIOS for the laptop offer any additional information?  You may see mSATA labeled some where in BIOS even though nothing is installed.

**The attached shot is the only thing I could find with regards to that model number and mSATA.  Sounds like at least one person successfully installed a mSATA.**

Chrome uses a lot of RAM. That's probably because every tab you open is a separate process. Therefore I wouldn't recommend it on a low end device. Firefox and Edge use much less RAM.

With better Display i was refering to Displaymate's Review on that.
Of course, that doesnt say anything, if someone likes IPS more.

Well yea. I like my App drawer. At least they should do it like Samsung, and put an Option there, so i can chose wether i want to keep it, or remove it.
If you think THAT makes me a Fanboy... Then you better look up what Fanboy is.. it is solely my preference of having an App drawer, how it is supposed to be under Android.
But with this, LG is forcing me their Way of thinking. This works for Apple and iOS, but this is nothing i want to see in a custom-free OS like Android. I want the CHOICE of using it how I want.
That isn't a Fact by all means. It is my Opinion. some may like what LG is doing, some don't.

I never said anything AGAINST the chinese makers  They are in my Opinion exactly, what the European/NA market needs. But first they need a good distribution, so one dont have to import anything.

However.. of course, App drawer was just a minor point, i didnt like. It would never make me buy another phone. There were many other parameters for Me ^^

Before you think i'm saying the LG G5 isnt a great phone.^^

It would be cool to have both, an usable PC and a proper media player, it's still hard to find a good combination.
I happen to have one of those keyboards with integrated touchpad, I'd have to find a place to put the "PC" so that it'll output to a monitor and a TV at the same time. Although it's really disappointing it won't run Crysis.. Just kidding

VGA is incredibly common as a standard in 3rd and 2nd world countries that are using 2nd hand products, or older tech a lot of the time. Heck, my multi-billion dollar employer still uses VGA for a lot of their teleconferencing equipment and laptop connections & docking stations. And for the resolution that they're running, there is no reason not to.

Thats pretty sweet! Although a Q6600 system would perform better, but obviously would be far larger and would require effort and risk acquiring parts

so many people comparing this xsff to their atx rigs. for youtube and 4 tabs in chrome, 8gb is fine. the cpu might have some difficulty crunching large excel spreadsheets, but ultimately it will be fine for word, powerpoint and outlook. h264 transcoding might be an issue, so i dont know whether VLC will be happy running on the CPU once you mix up video file types for playback. just treat it like any atom processor.

do be aware that you may need to spend a pretty penny getting a licensed copy of windows. would have been nice if the manufacturer included windows embedded, but i suppose it adds to the cost.

I don't get why so many people are concerned about USB3.0 ports... It's a J1900 processor, USB 2.0 would be more than adequate for the job.

Their OS is a fork of Android, Xiaomi is one of the top chinese brand competing directly against Huawei and Samsung in terms of marketshare (5th position worldwide, first or second in China iirc)

How is that low? Multi-core seems low, single-core looks high.

Ehm... I fixed it...Lol... It was my antivirus, which is too aggressive, usually it doesn't load the website completely if it doesn't like it, but this time he wasn't loading some images which are on a different domain "xda-cdn.com".
Thanks to the console I went to the xda logo image and opened it in another windows, so I saw the antivirus was blocking it, white listed it in my antivirus and now everything shows up normally.
    I still get 1 error:

I'm sorry I wasted your time, I actually tried disabling the firewall before but I guess that wasn't enough. Thanks for the help though, without your suggestion I wouldn't have found the solution!
