Well, at least I got to watch half the video before it went private.

I've got three. A 1992 model with a square gray badge, a 1987 model gray label, and a 1995 model blue label. You'd be welcome to borrow all three.

I might be more interested in knowing what stores play Auld Lang Syne when closing. I worked closing shift in a grocery store and I would just make an announcement over the PA system.
EDIT: Apparently it's very common in Japan. What would I do without Google?

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from Mike Soda in S7 Protection & Usability Upgrade
I have had that happen, and I remove the phone from the case about once a month to clean it. The dirt hasn't scratched the screen at all though, so it's not an issue for me.

I've had an Otterbox Defender on my S7 since new and have no complaints with it. I've never used the other ones you mention, so I can't say how they compare.

I still use the T60 daily for work. I've been trying to convince my employer that they should be providing me a new ThinkPad, but I'd probably be happier with my older one. If only Lenovo had made more than one SKU of the T25, I'd seriously try to get one of those.

My current daily use ThinkPad is a T61. I also have an X201t and a T450s. If I had more money, I'd also have a lot more ThinkPads.

Even today, I'd prefer the older ThinkPad to the new one. I'd bet the old one will still function perfectly the day the new one gives up.

OP needs to give us an update on what happened. Unless of course the school burned to the ground and nobody got out alive.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from Donut417 in Good routers?
I personally use an Asus RT-AC66U flashed with DDWRT. It works great for me. Although my connection is only 60/5.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from shadowbyte in 9 Display Outputs !?!!??
There are users that need many monitors but don't need a lot of graphics horsepower. For instance, where I work our 911 dispatchers have 7 monitors on 2 workstations. 5 of the monitors are on a single workstation.

ultimatemythbuster reacted to .:MARK:. in Cisco Router
Honestly, these routers are meant for people who know how to configure them, and if they don't, they have the networking knowledge to just learn the CLI and input what they know they need.
The level of networking knowledge you display here makes me want to suggest that you learn the contents of the CCNA certification.
This will be a very difficult and tedious process for you to ask each component of the config and what it means and what it should be. And I feel some of us will get really tired of this.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from Jekub in Router Set-Up (Novice)
I would highly advise that you take the time to set yourself up a VPN server with something like OpenVPN. That way you can access your internal network without exposing RDP to the internet. Exposing RDP to the internet means that anyone could discover your machine on the internet and attempt to log into it. If you must make RDP open to the internet, at least look up how to change the default RDP port.

I have a RT-AC66U with DDWRT. Works great with my 60/5 connection. I tried the stock ASUS firmware for all of 3 minutes before putting DDWRT on it.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from Aytex in Sort by answered/unanswered
Hi,
Sorry if this has already been asked or already exists and I just haven't found it. I haven't used the forum much since the major redesign. I remember we used to be able to sort a forum thread by answered/unanswered questions. This made it really easy to find questions to give answers to. I don't see this option anymore in the sort options. Is it still possible to do this?
Thank you.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from Freezanator in BIOS Update Error! Help!
I would start by restoring defaults in the bios, then check to see if you are booting in BIOS or UEFI mode. I've seen firmware updates change this before. The OS won't boot if your hardware is trying to use BIOS when the OS was installed in UEFI mode. If you don't want to mess around troubleshooting, the quickest way to recover might be to take the HDD out of this computer, plug it into another one so you can copy any of your files off, then just reinstall Windows.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from moderategamer in Media server (Plex advice)
I would have to look it up, but you might be able to tell Plex to not transcode. I have plex set up on a Server 2012R2 machine with a 4 core Atom CPU and 8GB of RAM, and Plex doesn't even make the server break a sweat. My real problem is streaming my media over the internet considering I only have 5Mbps upload.

ultimatemythbuster got a reaction from moderategamer in Media server (Plex advice)
You do not have to pay in order to stream over the internet. There are certain features that require a paid Plex Pass, but just look up the features available with a Plex Pass to determine if you need those features.
