what happened to those Epiphan capture cards that were being used for the wan show? in the episode today linus said they were using blackmagic cards the epiphan cards specifically say they are good at taking weird resolutions and capturing them if linus still has them they might want to try the epiphan capture cards and see if they work with the framework laptop on their normal resolution

so I got the system to boot by plugging into a different gpu output for whatever reason I an running a `pacman -Su` and its only at 50c

so I switched which hdmi port on my gpu I was plugged into and now its booting I was using the middle one before it used to just output to whatever one was plugged in bot now it only wants to output to the bottom one

I forgot to take a picture after the update to 6.5 but it had the same outcome boots into the BIOS and the OS with the 1600 installed and the new BIOS installed I am using the noctua NH-L9a cpu cooler

I am upgrading my sff pc. I have the ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard and a ryzen 5 1600 https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITXac/index.asp#Support I am trying to upgrade to the 3800x the 3800x is on the cpu support list this is the bios information for the mobo so I updated the bios to to p5.7 and made sure the system posts with the 1600 installed and it does then i replaced the cpu with the 3800x and when I press the power button the cpu fan turns on for a second and the gpu fan turns on then the cpu fan turns off but the gpu fan is still on. the heat sync got hot enough without the fan running that I unplugged it because it was painful to touch. so I put the 1600 back in and it posts almost instantly. then I clear the cmos with the jumper and unplug and replug the battery and put the 3800x back in. same outcome. so then I updated to bios 6.0 booted the 1600 and it posts and goes into my OS put the 3800x in and the fans stay on this time but still no post. just half speed fans and no video for half an hour till i unplugged it. so then I put the 1600 back in and upgraded the bios to 6.5 it posts with the 1600 and gets to the OS I put the 3800x in and this time it keeps the fans at full speed but still no post. left it like this for half an hour and still no post. this motherboard doesent have any form of postcodes. theres no speaker header, theres no status led there no mention of debug in the manual I dont have another motherboard to test the new cpu. I was going to buy the x570 itx tb3 from asrock and then it went on sale at newegg and by the time I got off work and could get on to buy it it was sold out. I really want x570 and thunderbolt so I can make my sffpc portable with a dock for my desk is my cpu bad? does asrock's QVL cpu list lie? any advice how to test further?

@LukeSavenije is it possible to add a denotation for which ones are fully digital with some kind of internal data connection for monitoring power usage?

I can't use an external recorder I need the audio to go to the ipad so notability can do its magic inserting the audio in the notes I need a wireless mic solution for the ipad

I am a special ed student and I just got an ipad pro with the notability app to use for school I've been playing with it watching movies and trying to take notes at the same time to see how well the audio recording works but the sounds of the apple pencil against the ipad glass is so loud in the recording Is there any solution to let me put a microphone on the teachers podium at the front of the classroom for the recording so I can get clean audio of the teacher? on wan show this week linus said that the uncut lmg roast will only be available live on floatplane currently wan show is available live on floatplane but the VOD is only on youtube and not floatplane will the uncut VOD for the roast be available on floatplane or will it be gone forever after its streamed and only the edited VOD available on youtube?
