Its a PCIE extension.  It used the USB 3.0 cable to extend the PCIE 1x with out the need of emi shielding.  Coin Miners use it a ton. I get 1.5GB read and 1GB wright on 4x PCIE.  I get 1GB read and 800MB write with 1x.   Not that big of a hit.  Every thing els in my pc will be a bodle neck when it comes to moving files to any other media. 

Turn off Fraps. That seemed to work for me.

Do what I do . Install most of your games and programs on your HDD. And put your fav games on the SSD. 

WOW. I got most of my parts for free.

My 4670K is water cooled I need 1.3v to keep the dang thing stable. 

Only thing stupidly overkill that i've got in my system is that bloody 1000w PSU.

it sounds like you have some type of virus running in the background. Google these two programs rkill and Hitman Pro. Rkill will stop Any running process that shouldn't be running and HitmanPro will pretty much remove anything that shouldn't be there

I wait until I can't play the games I want to at the resolutions and graphic settings I think are acceptable, in this case BF4 on low settings wasn't cutting it for me, so it was time to upgrade the 6850, I will stick with the R9-290 until it is no longer adequate for playing games.
