  1. It looks great!!!!!!!!! Just a little constructive criticism you can clean up the cable management a bit. I know the 900D has the ability to have damn near perfect cable management. Other than that the build is amazing
  2. Thanks i will give it a try when i get home from work. But one quick other question. One of the Raid Cards are running my OS the other is running my back up. When i upgrand the Firmware will i loose my config and will i need to rebuild my raid or re-install windows.
  3. I have the 4670K and 20GB of ram I run about 4 VM's through my day and play a few games at the same time. The I7 hyper threading helps the 4 core CPU but does not replace and true 8 core CPU. The 8350 would be better in this case or a i5 4670K would be better if your not running them all at once.
  4. So i have 2 LSI Mega Raid 8308ELP Raid Cards in my gaming rig. ( Why because i can ) One card is going to be running my 3 SSD's in raid 0 the other one is running my storage backup with 8 HDD's. My Question is i need to update the firmware on my raid cards. One has a outdated firmware and will not allow me to use the mouse for input i am stuck to keyboard only. Bad thing about that i can not set a raid up with non-matching ( 2 Samsung 840 120GB 1 Samsung 830 128GB SSD's) sizes with out using a mouse. LSI points to a program to update the firmware but its for DOS. I am great at hardware but suck at using a dos prompt i am just too young for that lol.
  5. If 2 cards wont help then i am good. 7TB of space is a bit much already lol Not Including the 2TB backup drive for the OS and the 2 SSD's in Raid 0 for the OS.
  6. OK. I was close lol. the new name scheme confuses me I like in nvidia name scheme better Sent from my Nexus 4
  7. More of the 7970 and 7950 or R9 280x and R9 270X.
  8. I would have to be Raid 6 or 5 but i don't know witch is faster.I know raid 10 is faster but it cuts out half of my space. Also is adding a second raid card help at all. I have a second LSI card. Will that off load the work to the two cards.
  9. Looking on help with what raid to use. Using raid 5 on 4 WD 1tb drives got 4 more and I have 8 in total now. Raid 5 is great bus slow as hell on transfers. Using a LSI mega raid 8303 controller. Should I use raid 5 or should I use a different raid level. Looking to get a much space as possible with some what good R/W.
  10. Well i would like to see some one run some benchmarks on a Stock 7970 and a Flashed 7970 at the same speeds to see if there is any resion some one would give this a try.
  11. GPU BOOST 2.0 that's the name of Nvidia's things. Whats AMD Comback called.
  12. But what about AMD new overclocking in the firmware. Its likes nvidia's thing where the card will go as fast as the power and cooling allow it. I forget the name of it.
  13. You would also have the better overclocking this they got on the new R9 serise. And i do have a dual bios card i might give it a try if any one see this working in real life and its stable.
  14. I heir some buzz about people flashing the 7970 to a 280x and having it show up as a 280x in the new drivers. Has any one had any success or tragedy stories on doing this.
  15. I have the fastest PC in my naberhood lol. My wife is a second runner up because every time i upgrade she gets my old parts. She plays the Sims with a 8150 8 Core CPU 16GB of ram and 4 1TB in Raid 10 lol
  16. I have 4 Segate Cheeta 15K.5 ( not a big fan they where free ) Drives in Raid 0 for my games and 4 1TB WD Green drives in Raid 5 for all my stuff and 2 Samsung 840's in Raid 0 for the OS. The 840's get backed up to the Raid 5 every night so i will never loose any ting. I have 5 more of the WD's ( Not one has died over 2 years in a raid 5) and 3 more of the Segates ( PS 2 died already lol ) for back up so when ones dies i just swap them out with new ones.
