  1. I would go with the 1600, a better upgrade path with with AMD supporting AM4 for a while.
  2. Im pretty sure Luke made a video on this on LTT, I remember the one X was doing better than a $500 dollar PC in a few games
  3. Mining, same sorta thing as the summer from what I know.
  4. Maybe try some in-game settings, turning Anti-Aliasing off might help if it's on
  5. Throttling is when a processor under clocks itself because it's too hot, Check your temperatures before the drops in speed, if this is the case a better cooler or not overclocking as high can help.
  6. I guess it depends on how heavy the editing and design work is... Maybe wait for Ryzen 2 or 9th gen Intel and look at some CPU benchmarks, if they're noticeably better than go for it if you want to.
  7. Looks good, should get some decent performance at 1080p
  8. Alright, i'm think I'm gonna see how far I can go on stock voltage, then bumb up to 1.3 and see where I can go with frequency
  9. All I need to make my upgrade is the motherboard I'm waiting on, an AsRock AB350M-HDV. I have an aftermarket cooler, the Enermax ETS-N31. I will also have 8 gigabytes of DDR4. Any suggestions for voltages and frequencies?
  10. My first time with a modern PC, also first time with the AM socket. PC: CPU: Ryzen 3 1200 Cooler: Enermax ETS-N31 Memory: Crucial 8gb DDR4 Motherboard: AB350M-HDV Audio: Logitech G430 headset Peripherals Logitech G213 Prodigy Logitech g203 Prodigy
  11. Looking like a beast! It should last you a while.
  12. Your system should definitely be compatable with a 1080 ti, just make sure the one you choose (If you do) Will fit in the case as this is generally a very large card
