  1. The speakers are connected via the RCA lineouts (1 red, 1 white). I also tried my headset (Beyerdynamics MMX 300) on the front 3.5mm jack. SBX should be working regardless how speakers are connected. Manual doesn't say anything against.
  2. Hi, I recently got me a Creative X7 to connect my Corsair SP2500 to. Installation was pretty smooth but none of the SBX settings are working... switchting them on or off makes no difference. What I've tried so far: - disabled all other audio hardware (onboard via UEFI, HDMI inside Windows) - uninstalled all previous drivers and audio software (incl manual registry search&delete as uninstall routines don't delete everything) - tried different settings for my speakers (2 and 5.1) Any suggestions what I could try?
  3. Wow really cool piece of tech! The only thing thats a little annoying about it is the fact that I would have to break into warehouses and paint walls. But I think I could get used to this.
  4. Can anyone who has a Xonar Essence One look if there is a option for volume normalization? (or even ASUS SVN)
  5. lol no I don't want to get a server rack or an additional table for my audio equip. I just want an external sound card with that SVN feature.
  6. For my next build I'm using a new motherboard (X99 Pro USB 3.1). I had nothing but trouble with the RVE - 3 boards all dead on arrival or after a few months... And the X99 Pro offers USB 3.1 onboard which the RVE doesn't (ugly plugin card) When using an M.2 with the X99 Pro the bottom most pcie slot is deactivated. So I can only use the slot in between the gpus for a sound card. With my plans to do an even cleaner looking build (hard tubing, some case modding, ...) as my current one that would ruin it pretty much.
  7. Sooo I'm currently using a ASUS Xonar Essence STX. Yeah I know 'no need for a sound card onboard is fine'... BUT I really love its 'Smart Volume Normalization' (SVN)! I'm watching a lot of different youtube channels while gaming. And every single channel does have different sound volume - so I have to adjust volume a lot. But with SVN I just switch it on and never have to adjust anything. And please don't suggest Windows built in sound normalization - its not that flawless as ASUS'. To my question: For my next build I want to go with an external sound solution. Do external solutions (by ASUS or others) come with that feature and is it comparable to the STX? Don't want to spend €300 for something like an Essence One just to find out that they don't have it...
  8. Got the Acer one yesterday and I love it! Not a single dead pixel and only a little bleeding around the edges. Colors are pretty nice - for a TN panel of course. Playing Wolfenstein or GTA 5 at around 40-50 fps feels buttery smooth thanks to gsync. My only problem I have to solve is my monitor stand... it can't handle the weight of all 4 monitors. But modding will be fairly easy to do.
  9. Quote of a post by JJ some minutes ago on https://pcdiy.asus.com/2015/01/pg27aq-rog-swift-ces-2015/ "We are still a while away from the release of this monitor. As previously noted we are targeting a Q3 time frame." Seems I'll go with the Acer then...
  10. I'm also waiting for the PG27AQ. Would love to play Witcher 3 on 4K when it comes out, but seems we'll have to wait. There aren't any official statements on an ETA yet or are there?
  11. I would build a X99 system for my wife. Good luck and a merry christmas to everyone!
  12. Ordered mine yesterday from Alternate.de (http://www.alternate.at/Corsair/Gaming-K70-RGB-bk-MX-Red-USB-Tastatur/html/product/1156829?) Should arrive at thursday/friday.
