  1. I have gotten the old system up so next I'll test if somehow the specific display ports on my monitors are messed up.
  2. So after cmos battery reset it still won't post, and after giving up and going back to my old system it also won't post.
  3. I'm pretty sure I did boot properly after, I'm giving it a second after figuring out how the batter holder worked, I'm obviously not that bright, I'll see if that works, would it be worth reseating the ram and CPU if that doesn't work?
  4. The cmos battery is proving quite stubborn to remove, don't wanna hurt anything any thoughts?
  5. And sorry it's a R7 7800X3D in a gigabyte b650m auoros elite with a crucial p3 m.2 SSD crucial pro 32gb ram at 5800hz and a gigabyte RX 7800XT
  6. Please help, after putting together my new computer getting it fully up and running doing all kinds of updates including a bios update I shut it down and installed a couple of old drives then it wouldn't post all the lights and fans went on there were beeps no flashing warning light, after now removing my old drives and setting it back to exactly what it was before it still won't post. Any ideas?
  7. Budget (including currency): 500 if possible Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: work and study very light gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a buddy who needs a new computer to do some remote work as well as study/school work for the most part, if they play any games it'll be old stuff like Asherons Call for nostalgia, would they be better building something cheap or looking for a laptop in that range
  8. That 1080p looks pretty damn good thanks for all the help
  9. Ooh thanks, yeah seems like the x won't be worth it for me, think this puppy would make good use of a 120hz screen in 1440 or 1080?
  10. Ooh looks pretty good, is there any good argument for the ryzen 5 7600x or will I not need the boost it has? And do you think it would be worth going for a board with another m.2?
  11. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Vt8KdH This is a quickly thrown together idea
  12. Budget (including currency): $1000-1500 possibly more Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Variety of games from old indies to new AAA Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've been running on a i5 7600k and gtx 980 for quite a while and really need to upgrade. It's been quite a while since I looked at parts seriously but I'm leaning AMD for CPU from looking around a little. GPU wise I'm not really sure, I really just wanna get as much power in my price point as I can. I'll probably be buying in the next few months when my tax refund comes in and I can set aside a little extra. Don't currently need any peripherals but I'm not against monitor suggestions, I currently run 1440@60 (when my poor machine can) but would love to move to 1080@120 or 1440@120 if it would be possible with the next setup.
