They really are grasping at straws now aren't they?
Since this whole ruling, I've been seeing a lot more commercials from Cox trying to convince people that 10Mbps is enough for gaming, watching Netflix, streaming music, and downloading files all at the same time. But at the same time, another company (I forget the name) announced some sort of convention coming up soon that will demonstrate to consumers a Gigabit service, and how it will change how you view the internet.
I foresee some death throes from the ISPs in the near future, this is just the beginning.

Possibly. It's also possible that they are playing a waiting game. Draw out the argument until people stop paying attention, and congress can quietly pass a bill allowing the ISP's to continue eating and raping babies.

Wonder when we'll get some performance reviews.  It'd be nice if AMD could at least release something to compete with the i3 and be a bit cheaper.

1 tiny ass drone vs a Dc-10? Just hit the damn thing, not like it can do that much damage to a prop aircraft...can it? I know a jet might be threatened by it because of speed, but still. It's not like we're talking about a fragile ass aircraft here. Consider that the DC-10 is the commercial version of a plane that carries side firing artillery cannons and gattling guns.

Or why not just, fly above or below the damned thing? Shit, drop the foam on it, and knock it down into the fire, maybe the operator will learn their lesson lol

Seriously, a close pass at high speed could probably knock that drone out of the air (just from the turbulence surrounding the much large and faster moving aircraft), or at least make the operator decide to bring it back.

Did people forget that Display Port 1.2a can't drive 4k @ 144hz? So unless they have DP 1.3, I call Bs. And even then 1.3 can only do 4k 120hz, so something here isn't totally truthful.

From initial reports out here, there were no injuries, and the damage was contained to pretty much the area underneath the roof where it burned, and that it didn't damage anything crucial or anything terribly expensive.

http://www.engadget.com/2015/05/26/apple-arizona-fire/I'm not too sure if this is news worthy. More likely clickbait, but hey, it's Apple! Looks like their solar panels on top of their newly acquired building caught fire somehow. I mean today is the first day of summer really in Arizona, and temps are hitting high 90's and low 100's all over the valley. So I'm thinking Apple should employ some guys to double check their wiring. ;-)
Also, I hope the photo loads correctly. Sorry for the quality too, looks like it was shot from a bad sky cam.

There's the nonsensical and overblown attempt at console apologetics I know and love. This entire post is a rant about completely irrelevant things that no one you quoted brought up.

"You make me sick. How dare you point out that this console generation had little improvement and is objectively extremely lacking in performance."

You get what you pay for. You get cheap shitty performance because the consoles are cheap shit. But instead of owning up to the fact that this generation of consoles are underpowered, publishers would rather push narratives about "cinematic" and "human eye can't X" while console gaming loyalists eat it up and parrot it as if they are valid arguments. You're honestly trying to justify the absolute worst case of consumer ignorance in the gaming industry because you're upset about someone being called "peasant." Corporate backed exclusivity wars, raging fanboyism, pushes towards increased DRM, hyping AAA graphics when the consoles are leagues behind PC, no moddability, no upgradability, paying for online service after you pay for your internet, perpetuating a cycle of tech stupidity and asinine arguments, and ultimately lowering certain standards of quality across all platforms. Consoles are horrible pieces of work, deal with it.

Anybody notice how blurry and terrible some of the PS4 textures were on many walls in the towns? Xbox definitely has a much shorter draw distance though.  I'm just blown away that it looks that terrible and still crashes into the low 20 fps.
Game runs fantastic on my 290, but then again, you are running it on a 280x.

One 780Ti running at 1137mhz can manage the maxed out setting at 1080p with 40-65fps. Biggest tankers from 3 hours of testing:
    1) Default window settings - for whatever reason game defaults to borderless, changing it to full window gives good 10 fps.
    2) Foliage draw distance, from ultra to high gives another 5 fps, difference is neglible.
    3) Max characters in the background - lowest setting equals to 75, have not seen one place where it comes even close. Dropping to low gives another fps or two for free.
    4) Hairworks.... Id say go all in or all out. Disabling it gives A LOT of extra fps. BUT, do not test the difference at tbe start of the game, instead in the first mini village past 3 hanging corpses. After a moment there is a wolf attack there. Im a sucker for smooth gameplay, but after seeing the wolf with hairworks, i cannot bring myself to turn it off.
    5) Ultra details and ultra textures - dropping both to high gives about 10 fps, but the difference in how the game looks is enormous. Two different generations id claim.
    6) Postprocessing - hbao+ is actually not a big difference fps wise vs ssao. Chromatic abberation and motion blur off give extra 2-3 fps for making the game look better imo.
It's a first game where i decided to go below 60 just because of how it looks. Dont test in the intro, test in the first village, fps chsnges are greatest there, and the graphics changes the most between settings.
I have no idea about the downgrade, but walking around near sunset makes it the most beautiful game ive seen so far. Nothing comes even close. The tessalation used is on the highest level ive seen anywhere but tech demos - most impressed so far by helmets on few of the soldiers i passed - the dents are so freaking realistic that it migbt as well have been my own helmet scanned in.
