GPUs are compatible with all motherboards that feature PCI-e. So you will be fine.

TheOnlyNexus got a reaction from ThatSoundGuy in 980ti SLI VS. new 1070
980ti SLI would have a better performance despite only having 6GB VRAM instead of the 8gigs og the 1070 (8gigs only really needed for graphics heavy 4k games) . The 1070 would be more futureproof though.

Still I would recommend getting another 980ti.

750W is overkill, 350W is enough for a 1060 (I would get 500W for future upgradability).

Galax is a solid brand. They are well known for their Hall of Fame series of GPU's. They don't really exist in NA, but that doesn't mean they're an unknown brand or anything. They're quite popular in many other places.

You can't really say that. Because some games benefit from hyper threading. That is just like saying dont get a Lamborghini if you aren't a pro racer.

Which one you find prettier / better matches your color scheme? That's the one you should get. If you still can't decide, get the cheapest. If you STILL can't decide, get the Gigabyte card, just because I don't like Zotac's yellow

Guys with no life like me would have nothing to do if people would actually use google instead of going to a forum and asking other people to google things for them

One is 1.77x wider than it is tall (16:9) and the other is 2.38x wider than it is tall (21:9). Most games scale by horizontal ratio, so a wider ratio will allow you to see more on the screen at once, so generally 21:9 is considered better for gaming.

Just boost the audio levels and you will be fine. Audacity can help with leveling and amplification.

The Corsair RM750i would be the 'best' choice of those options, since it has a better fluid dynamic bearing fan, a more passive fan curve over the EVGA G2 and the bonus of Corsair Link, making it a very silent PSU.

I don't know about the exact color of the cables, but both the Supernova G2 750 and RM750X are one of the best and the most popular PSUs in the whole world. I don't know much about the XFX unit, but I personally recommend both the latter. It's your choice in the end - we can only share our opinions. Better make a well thought-out choice, as compromising on PSUs isn't really recommended, as it can transform your house to resemble the Colosseum if it gets pissed!

No idea why people assume that others with experience are just grabbing onto a stereotype. I've used Corsair fans extensively and come to the conclusion that there are better performers out there very close in price, and that their LED fans suck all on my own.
Yeah, but they're expensive. Performance is great, though.

It's not going to be accessible on your motherboard. I suspect MSI just used the same UEFI for all their mobos and greyed out the unavaiable options.

If you do want to overclock it, get a combo of motherboard and aftermarket cooler.

BTW: Noctuas fans look just... you know what I mean. I've also got two of them, which I want to exchange now, because of their look. Already had the Industrial Fan, but it's a little bit too noisy in my opinion.
