Start > type: Power Options > select: Power Options > Change Plan Settings (on the selected plan, which should be Balance) > Change advanced Power Settings.
A panel will show, on it go to: Sleep > Hybrid Sleep, and turn it off, and set "Hibernate after" to 0.

At the same location, set the Sleep time to what you want. Use 0 to disable it.

To really disable hibernation as you think you'll never ever use it on your system:
     - Open command prompt as admin (Win+X > Command Prompt (Admin))
     - type: powercfg -h off
     - hit Enter, restart your system.

unRAID gives you convenience. It comes with a powerful web interface that you can use with other devices on your network, and it's designed to have as little compromises as possible with multiple services while running off of a single USB stick.

While you can achieve just about anything in unRAID with just Ubuntu for free, it might end up being a lot more work, depending on what you want to do.

Virtualization is virtualization. With the proper setup, neither are really better. In the end, they're both operating systems running virtualization software.

There is no need for upgrading to i7 6700k for gaming. It's waste of money.

    Stick with that you got.

I jumped from that cpu to a 6700k and other than getting ddr4 ram, that and a minor performance upgrade. It really wasnt worth spend the at a minimum to jump from one to the other, $600 bucks.

Devil's canyon will hold it's own for a while. So it's just basically a "you want 6700k" but don't need 6700k. Same for x99. It's 600 minimum to go to skylake, add probably another 200 to jump to X99.

    1. 1070. 1080 is not worth the extra money imho
    2. It can, but why not go with a fresh install?
    3. It will. The frame rate is ofcourse dependent on the game and your desired settings.
    4. You could, you might not even have to get a second one.
    5. It is enough for 1, 2 might get a bit iffy
