You know what really pisses me off? People who like to bash ChromeOS for being such a simple OS that doesn't support many mainstream programs, but they don't realize that the reason that ChromeOS exists is for people who don't do much on their computer that can't be done either in a browser or with an app from the Google Play store. If that's all you have to do on a computer, ChromeOS is easily the best option for that; the fact that it's so stable, fast, and good-looking (and that the hardware is super cheap) is just awesome, especially compared to Windows, Linux, or OS X.

 

TL;DR: ChromeOS is the best OS for web browsing and apps/games that can all be found on the Google Play store. Nothing beats it for pure web browsing.

    Chromebooks do have their niche and do it pretty well.  Another use I seen for them is the schools around here are using them in place of school books.  They give each student one and even load the course work onto the chromebook along with videos and examples.
